- Chris and Jonny
OOOH I think they should get married: the way they were rollin around on the floor at the DC show...yummy yummy..they need to stop denying their love and get with the Nike program and Just Do IT....who needs pretty Paltrow when Chris has ol' Jonny boy!!- Washington DC Show: Who's Been There, Who's Going
Hey out there in Coldplay land. I was wondering who is going to the March 2nd show in DC? If you're going or have been to the MCI Center and you have any tips, please let me know! I'm from a pathetically small town and I know nothing about the MCI Center except it is big. Thoughts on parking, metro, etc. would be REALLY appreciated!- Fiona Apple...
Ahh, Fiona I've been an Apple fan since her first CD came out. All three have been stunning, insightful, and completely unique. I've never seen her live, but I will in March. I don't care what the press says anywhere because you can't compare Coldplay and Fiona Apple. She is not "stealing the show" because Chris and the guys are too wonderful for that to happen. Sure, I think she is stronger lyrically, but that isn't all there is. So have no fear Coldplay gang. She is a talented genius, but ultimately, people are there to see Coldplay...and they never disappoint.- Coldplay in 5 Years
Of course it can't be answered, but where do you see the gang down the road? With marriages, babies, and life in general, where will the band be in the future?- Yes it's come to this...Which is the Worst Album?
In this world of rank, rank, rank, I'm not surprised this question was asked. I think there is a way to be a completely dedicated fan and still be objective. That being said, I'm going to have to say that X & Y is not the worst, but just the third greatest. I think it is a beautiful album that I will continue to listen to for a long time, but, for me, there is some missing magic, some faded spark if you will. It is still better than a lot of the shit out there though, by a long shot.- Cold play at Austin City Limits
I saw the show on the tele and it was wonderful. They only showed Stipe playing In the Sun and Night Swimming...I wish they would've showed Chris singing Have Yourself a Merry Christmas, but oh well...it was still great of course!!! :)- Coldplay... when does it become an obsession?
I see where you are coming from. I wonder if a thread on here is the best place to get unbiased feedback about being obsessed? Hehe..I think I am programmed to not become obsessed with any band or anything for that matter. I think loving a band and being devoted to them is great. They need fans like you and lots of others on here. But in my opinion, when it starts to interfere with real life stuff, like paying bills and getting a car, then I think some thought and change might be needed. :) I think Chris would want you to love the band and listen to the music, but I don't think the guys would want other areas of your life to fall behind for them :) But I think it is good that you're thinking about it.- are all coldplay concerts really short?
Cheerio to that! Hear, hear- Suggestion re: future pre-sales!!
I think that is a superb idea. If I'm ever lucky enough to get in on the pre-sale, I'll be sure to do that. :)- Officially pointless Coldplaying word association thread
eagle- Anyone ruined for life bc they were spoiled before?
I see where you guys are coming from! I've only been to one concert and I had an AMAZING time. Now I have seats for this March in DC and I'm worried that my seats aren't as good. I know I'll still have a blast, but I just don't want to get caught up in comparing the two shows. It seems really hard to get great seats anymore, especially if you are a poor college student with a crappy part time job!! Oh, the sacrifices we must make for our boys!- Washington D.C. - MCI Center: anyone ever been there?
Thanks for the response about the floor seats. Regarding that, I have another question that hopefully someone can help me out with: If you have floor seats, does that mean they are not slanted like the seats in the other sections? I know what a pit is of course, but this "floor" idea has me confused since there are rows and everything...anyone know? I was wondering because I wouldn't want to trade in my seats for the floor and then still not be able to see (I'm short and need help!!)- Washington D.C. - MCI Center: anyone ever been there?
I'm psyched about getting to see them again (section 104 row F), but how in the hell do people get floor seats? I was on there as soon as they went on sale and this was the best I could do??!?! :/- HELLO!
Thanks everyone for the welcome and a big hello to you all again!- Question: How long do Coldplay Concerts usually last?
I went to my first Coldplay concert a few months ago and boy, I was surprised how quickly it seemed to go! Before I knew it, they were doing the encore! Too bad they aren't like what I've heard Bruce Springsteen concerts were like: I could definitely handle three or four hours of Coldplay!!!- HELLO!
Hey all! I'm a newbie on the planet coldplaying.com. It's so nice to get to talk to people from all around who LOVE Coldplay! It is very exciting! My name is Miranda and I'm from a tiny town in Maryland. I'm 21 and just went to my very first concert in September in DC! Just thought I'd say hello and introduce myself :)- US 2006 Tour Dates
MCI DC BABY!!!! I just saw Coldplay in September at the Nissan Pavilion. Now I'll get to see them again at the MCI Center, but I've never been there! Does anyone have any suggestions/info. on what MCI is like?? - March 2, 2006 - Washington, DC
