There is no country in this entire world that has not experience/is not experiencing racism. I wish I could deny this, but it's like..human nature to some people! Here in the United States, there is a raging issue about a new legislation being passed to make it so that illegal immigrants be treated like a criminal here. (I hope it does not pass) NOt that immigrants are not welcome, but it must be done in an orderly fashion. There is not one big group of people that are shunned in this country. It is every state and region in the US that picks one race or another to discriminate. It all depends where you are. Here, it would be blacks and hispanics (Texas-south). I am hispanic, so I have in my life ( and actually, now quite recently because of these current events I mentioned ^^) experienced discrimination. So have members of my family. It's mostly upper class whites that discriminate against me/us. It's sick really. And I wish no one had to go through stuff like that! I mean, I think it is rediculous that people are treated in a demeaning manner. Like, haven't people learned their lessons over the time of history!? okay okay i will calm down. Right now, in the US there is still racism towars arabs/middle easterners. At another time, there was so drawbacks from asias because of diseases recently. So basically, yes, there are periods where immigrants are treated unfairly because of changing circumstances.
