  2. You know they're owned by the same company right?
  3. Phew! Glad I'm not alone in this.
  4. Just a heads up. I found out this morning that BestBuy does have a presale starting June 12th at 10am.
  5. Great post Grace. You summed up most of my feelings very nicely. I've been watching F1 since I was 9 (Started in 1994) and I sincerely believe that was one of his best drives ever. From being up to 6th in the first couple of laps to being down by 70 seconds and then shrinking that to only 24 seconds at the end of the race. The race was a great example of his never quit attitude. And whoever said that Schumacher was out of his prime needs to just watch that race. Some people said that Kimi and Fernando had eclipsed Michael in terms of racing skills; just watch Michaels pass on Kimi. If thats not enough, out of the 20 best laps in the race, Michael had 17 of them. Thats almost unheard of. Its a shame we really didn't get a send off that was fitting. The directors didn't show a lot of him after the race, which was a real tragedy. It was a pure pleasure watching Michael drive. Love him, or hate him the statistics speak for themselves. You may not believe he was the best driver of all time, but statistically speaking, he is. And what a classy, classy move it was by BMW to send a thank you to Michael. Watching F1 without him will surely be different. I'll still be cheering for Ferrari, Kimi and Massa... and Heidfeld (In my views the most underrated driver out there). Thanks for everything Michael. You will sorely be missed. Hope to see you in the pitlanes sometime.
  6. Man... two days later and I still can't believe it happened. Alonso is a great driver, no doubting that. I think most people that dislike him, dislike him because of his behaviour after the races. He acts like a complete goof. I actually start to cringe when he does those animal poses. Whats up with that anyway. I understand why he was so happy on the podium. I would be too. I would have put a hand on Fisi's shoulder or even hugged him at the moment. And I probably wouldn't have sprayed champagne. There's no doubt Alonso's going to drive conservatively at the last race, and you can't really blame him. The only hope of Schumi pulling this off is if the conditions are really treacherous... which isn't totally out of the question cause we've had wet/wild races at Interlagos before. Fingers crossed!
  7. I'm totally speechless right now. Totally gutted. He had the race... wow. How quickly things can change.
  8. Ferrari front row! Yes! Schumi's got Massa and his brother as blockers now! :laugh3: Hopefully it doesn't come down to blocking. I want to see a good clean fight. PS. Love the avatar/signature combo Grace!
  9. Couldn't agree more. "...they want to justify the gesture of a great champion, who made a mistake." - Paolo Maldini on Materazzi's fine/ban.
  10. I read the article. Thanks for the smart-alec comment by the way... I hardly think doing community service is punishment enough, considering the severity of the act. Besides, a man of his stature should be helping the community anyway. He shouldn't have to be forced to do it. And the fine should have been way more significant. Any old Joe Schmo could have paid that fine off. The act was witnessed by billions, literally, and so I feel the fines should have been in 6-figures. That way it'll remind others to not do something as harsh an act as headbutting.
  11. This punishment is utterly pointless. a) Banning Zidane for 3 games, when he won't ever play again anyway? b) And fining them pocket change? They were better off not doing anything. The whole thing is just a huge joke.
  12. Couldn't have said it better myself.
  13. Well deserved win by Alonso and Renault. They're just miles ahead of everyone at the moment. The championship might have been all sewed up last race with the incident at Monaco. Suppose... now before you jump all over me, I said suppose Schumi wins that, then the championship becomes a lot more closer even with todays result. Oh well, the past is in the past. 10 races remain and a 23 point is not totally out of the question. But with each lap it seems like a second championship for Alonso. Stranger things have happened though...
  14. Schumacher is arrogant? If he's arrogant then in comparison Alonso must think of himself as God. Half of all of his wins in his career have come by luck with a competitor going out in the race due to an accident or mechanical failure. Take for instance Nurburgring last year; Raikonnen deserved to win (True though that he did cause that flat spot himself) and crashed on the last lap. When Alonso came across the line in 1st he was jubilant... why? He did not deserve the win. It was a hollow win, just like half of his wins were. Monaco was another example. No doubt he's a good driver, but in my eyes he's more arrogant than Michael.
  15. Yay another Torontonian! Welcome!
  16. Wow great episode last night... one more episode till a long hiatus. :(
  17. I don't recall... remind me!
  18. Brilliant! Ferrari are truly back in it! Now all we need is an Alonso slipup so we can gain some significant ground.
  19. Memphis has caught the curse from Vancouver. :(
