  1. I'm heeeeereeee!!!
  2. Ooh... well, if you can get it, that sounds like a pretty good deal! I will of course be crossing my fingers for you! :P Anyway... somehow it got reeeallly late and I have work in the morning and then class all afternoon so I am going to attempt to go to sleep. Have a good night and I will talk to you tomorrow!
  3. Yeah, I definitely know what you mean about the economic situation. I'm going to have to take out some major loans when it comes time for me to go to grad school. I'm trying not to think about that though... I'm still going to root for Cornell though for purely selfish reasons... it would be so cool if you went to school in NY. And believe me, you would see a TON of snow there! :P But you never know... a lot of times these schools are trying to get more diversity among the students so when they see someone from a place like Mexico they might offer them more money in hopes of attracting them to the school! I have a friend whose mother immigrated from Cuba, and she got almost full scholarships to every university she applied to! So, you never know! ;)
  4. I think I gave up on that reading for now... I'll finish up in the morning! :P And now I'm looking at websites for graduate programs in education... why I am subjecting myself to more torturous schoolwork, I will never know. Speaking of which are you still thinking about Cornell? That would be so cool if you went there, I know they have an awesome architecture program and it's only like 1 1/2 hours from here! :P And thanks to DST I am still off and will probably be up way too late tonight. It's already midnight and I don't feel too tired. Greaaaat. :dozey:
  5. So... it's 8:30ish for you now? I finally figured out everyone's time difference from here and now it's all different! :dozey: I never really understood the point of daylight savings time anyway... I mean I get why it exists, but why can't people just deal with the way the earth is tilted? Wow, listen to me, ranting about DST... it's pretty obvious I don't want to read about communism right now!
  6. Yeah but then when I woke up, it felt like it was an hour earlier than it should have been! Anyone looking into my car today probably thought I was crazy, because I was constantly singing at the top of my lungs and drumming on the steering wheel. :P But you're right, the Viva woooaaahs are absolutely the best part. The car is just the best place for singing. :wacky:
  7. Hahaha... I am almost always asleep by that time! Plus last night we moved our clocks forward an hour for Daylight Savings Time... so by the time I got to sleep it was like 4 in the morning! :uhoh: Well I'm glad you were able to have a good time last night! :drunk: Yeah, there was no way I could have afforded to have a hangover today. I had a long drive and obviously my singing voice had to be in good shape so I could stay entertained in the car! When Viva Vida came on, let me tell you, I went all out! The people in the cars nearby could probably hear me. :P
  8. How did you know? :P I actually know a lot of people at his school, for whatever reason. Quite a few people I went to high school with go there. I was out at that bar until 2 AM last night, which is way later than I am ever out! I wasn't drinking or anything, don't worry, I had to drive home. :P
  9. Haha sorry I know I've been mushy all day! :P No, I didn't take that pic, actually a mutual friend of ours from high school did. She's really into photography, so she takes some high-quality pictures. But that's how it looked last night. It was funny, the bar was actually a really nice place, a bit weird for a college town. It's Morroccan, and his band plays there all the time.
  10. Weekend was goooood. It was really nice to finally go see him, even though I was a big emotional mess when I had to leave this morning. I'm such a baby sometimes! :P But I had a lot of fun... on Saturday we went to some interesting shops around town (a weird flea market and another shop where they definitely sold all kinds of drugs, also a record shop with all kinds of vinyls and I thought of Guy :wacky:) and last night I went to a bar where his band was playing to watch him plan and he was sooooo good! Jeez I'm like a fangirl for my own boyfriend... So that was my weekend. I just wish I could go back! :bigcry:
  11. Haha, yes! I work as a cashier and sometimes when things are slow I get paper off of the receipt printer and write letters to people so I don't die of boredom. :P So you're going to get a letter soon on some really thin strips of receipt paper where I just ramble on and on about how bored I am!
  12. Whyyyy oh whyyy is the Communist Manifesto so boring? :bigcry: I hate homework! :P Oh, yeah, Pris, I sent you a letter a week or two ago... have you gotten it yet? I got bored at work... :P
  13. Ooh Pris your dress and the decorations look beautiful! :nice: You did a really nice job decorating, don't know what you were stressing about! :P Looks like it must have been a fun night! :) edit: Good night Carla!!
  14. Oooh, you were a witness? I know what you mean though, I really hate being late too. I would have killed my friend is she made me that late to something so important! edit: yay piccies!
  15. Couldn't hurt to try... I am very well-known in Amsterdam, after all. :smug:  Go entertain your real-life guests Christa! Even though we are having fun conversation here, too! :P But we miss you too!
  16. Ah hi Christa!! Did they? Ahhh no way! I cried when I saw them play that at MSG in 2005!! :bigcry: (And I sang it very loudly in the car today )
  17. You almost stopped the wedding! Oh well, it's good to get there fashionably late, right? :P And yes, Carla's here somewhere, unless she fell asleep on her keyboard or something... :P
  18. Ummm.... me too. Oh yes, Ingrid Michaelson, my long-lost relative. Well not really, that's not how I spell my last name, but it's pronounced the same way. My sister went to see her last year and I told her she should tell them she could get in for free because they're related. :P
  19. It's embarrassing, but it's one of my favorite shows. I have such a soft spot for soap operas! edit: Pris!!! How was the wedding?? Pictures woman! :whip: Look, you've been here for like a minute and I'm already harassing you. :P
  20. Okay, you did ask, I just feel funny bragging. :embarassed: He thinks he's got to be this world famous musician within the next few years, so you never know! :P It's true, there are a lot of people I know from high school who are great musicians. They're all studying music at fancy conservatories and stuff now. I was pretty involved in music stuff in high school so that's how I know them. House is a really great show, don't blame you for being addicted! I don't usualy watch it on Mondays because I watch Gossip Girl with most of my friends (embarrassing, I know :embarassed:) but a lot of my friends have the DVDs and repeats are on all the time so I usually can catch up.
  21. I never get to watch the new episodes on Mondays, but I watch the reruns on USA all the time! It's pretty much my Sunday night routine. :P
  22. Ugh I know how you feel, don't worry. Right now I should be reading the Communist Manifesto.... but I really don't want to... I mean I am studying education, so I really hate reading philosophical/political/economic stuff, I have no interest in it. :( So instead I am here, reading the sparknotes summary of the Communist Manifesto, and watching House.
  23. Bragging about my boyfriend's saxophone playing to Carla. I'm sorry, I must sound like an annoying proud parent! :embarassed: But other than that, I should be doing homework. :\ But that's nothing new for me! What about you? You're back at uni now, right? That's too bad!
  24. I could tell. ;) Surprisingly I have a lot of friends who are music students are seriously incredible musicians. Another one of my good friends is bassist at the University of Hartford and he is one of the top bass players for his age in the nation. I also know a couple guys from my high school who are absolutely awesome jazz musicians, one plays saxophone and another plays the trombone. Must be something in the water in my town... edit: Hello Lore! How are you?
