  1. I love all those songs everyone mentioned. "Parallel Universe" is awesome too... my Rock station here played it in high rotation even though it was never a single. As far as their older songs go, my favorites are probably "Under The Birdge," "Soul To Squeeze," and "My Friends." I like so many more though! How do you guys like the name Stadium Arcadium for their new album? I like it a lot. It reminds me a lot of Californication, you know, a play on words. :D
  2. Awesome, Steph. What's your favorite songs on Californication? After "Scar Tissue," my favorites are "Easily" and "Otherside." Did you get By The Way too? My favorites there are "Dosed," "Can't Stop," "Minor Thing," and "The Zephyr Song."
  3. Thanks for posting Steph! Great article.

  5. Red Hot Chili Peppers: New Album in 2006 Any other Chili Peppers fans here? I've always liked them, but I've been a really big fan since "Scar Tissue." Their last two albums have been great and I can't wait for the next one. Luckily, the wait won't be long. Their new album will be called Stadium Arcadium and will be out in late Spring/early Summer. We could have a new single as soon as next month!
  6. I'm sure many of the UK posters will disagree with me (because they don't know how good they have it when it comes to music their radio stations play! :D ), but here in the US the most underrated bands are Bloc Party, Athlete, and Hard Fi. I'll even say Keane is very underrated in the US.
  7. X&Y did really well in the US this year! It's the #6 album of 2005, and the #2 Rock album (behind Green Day). Some people in the industry are saying it didn't sell as much as was expected of them, but 2.6 million (with more shelf life still left) is definitely really good. They sold a lot more than other bands that got even more airplay than them, so congrats! Also interesting is how much A Rush Of Blood To The Head still sells. It hasn't had a single in over 2 years now, but it still made the 2005 Top 200 list! Here's it's total sales for the year: I'm not sure how much AROBTTH has sold to date, but I'm pretty sure its between 3 and 4 million. If anyone wants to see the full list to compare how they did to other artists, here's the link: http://soundcheckmusic.proboards78.com/index.cgi?action=display&board=news&thread=1136409431&page=1

There is no bad Coldplay song. The song I'd call "least good" is "Twisted Logic." ;) I always skip it on X&Y. :embarrased:
  9. I only know "Nobody Move, Nobody Gets Hurt" which I love. What are some of their other good songs?
  10. No one's heard it yet.
  11. I'm a really big fan. I consider them my favorite band. They havemy favorite and second favorite song ever with "#41" and "Two Step." Crash is my favorite album of all-time and Under The Table And Dreaming and Before These Crowded Streets are both in my Top 10 favorite albums of all-time. Unfortunately, their albums this decade have been subpar but I still support them, and I think "American Baby" is an amazing song.
  12. I'm sorry if this has already been posted, but Chris Martin wrote a song with Nelly Furtado for upcoming album, Loose. The song is called "All Good Things Must Come To An End," and it might be a duet. It's not guarenteed to make the album since she has too many songs for one CD, but considering the fact that everything Chris does is above average quality, I'm sure it should make the final cut.
  13. Awesome news, thanks LifeLight!
  14. It's not up to iTunes to decide when they can start selling the Talk EP. That's up to Coldplay's record label.
  15. Don't know it Dave Matthews Band - Satellite
  16. There's rumors going around that "The Hardest Part" will be the next single. It seriously NEEDS to be "White Shadows" though.
  17. I hate it when artists release a new album every year. It cuts into the amount of singles and videos you get per album, and it also makes their albums less eventful. However, there was a 3 year gap between AROBTH and X&Y, which I think is to the other extreme, lol. Waiting that long means casual fans can lose interest and hardcore fans like us can get reasonably impatient. I think a 2 year gap between albums is really the best way to go.
  18. Don't know it Collective Soul - Compliment
  19. Also, "Talk" is about to become their biggest hit at Rock radio here so that should also help them sell in the long run.
  20. And for anyone interested, here's more of the chart... and towards the bottom a discussion on how well Coldplay is selling in the US this year in comparison to other artists and their older albums. http://soundcheckmusic.proboards78.com/index.cgi?board=news&action=display&thread=1134566527
  21. Thanks for the concert recaps. Sounds amazing. Also thinks for posting audio/video. :D How do you open a .amr file?
  22. Thanks for the link! On my way to listen...
  23. This week X&Y sold 38,305 units in the US (a 65% increase from last week) and comes in at #43. It's sold 2,385,180 copies to date. I'm glad to see it increasing again, but I really thought/hoped X&Y would spend the whole holiday season in the Top 20.
