  1. A street in a city where I go to university. I just love the old houses!
  2. Haha, a nice one! ... when every time (after all those years) you hear a Coldplay song on the radio, you feel like you should tell everyone that they're playing Coldplay.
  3. The Chronicle - 7/10 Liked it a lot, but didn't like the end much. It just spoilt the impression - otherwise I'd give it a 9. I think that the end could have been dealt with a bit differently.
  4. stuffy and raining! terrible, it's been raining for the whole week! :/
  5. I got the set Nikon D3100 + 18-55, and then I saw that somebody was selling the 18-105 and I bought it, because it's more universal than the 18-55 :) And usually I don't like carrying more lenses (I usually have the two with me - the 18-105 and the 35mm - but the 35mm is really "small"). The 28mm looks interesting, but the price! :/ I think that I just stopped buying lenses with the purchase of 35mm, because I'm still just a student and the equipment is so damn expensive! Anyway, I still have an SLR Praktica BCA with lenses 35mm and 50mm and taking pictures with this old camera is so magical! And the moment when you go to the photo studio to get your pictures and you're just surprised, what pictures you've taken! :D (Maybe someone isn't that surprised, but it takes me about 3 months at least to finish the film in the Praktica!) Here's another picture (taken with the Nikon) Have you got some photos to show? :))
  6. Yeah, maybe, but the main reason why I decided to buy a 35mm was that I want to take not only portraits ('cause the 50mm is good for portraits) but also pictures of the countryside/snapshots/other things - 35mm is in my opinion more universal. Anyway, I'm pretty satisfied with the quality (but you must take into account that I'm no professional photographer ;)) What equipment do you use? :D
  7. Hi, as I've been into photography a lot recently, I was thinking about starting a new thread about photography, cameras and also post-processing of photographs. I thought that there might be also some keen photographers around here, who would appreciate a thread like this. To start - which camera (and lens) do you use for taking pictures? :) Now I've got a Nikon D3100, with lens 18-105mm and Nikkor 35mm. This is one of my favourite pictures I took two weeks ago I think: Feel free to ask/chat/anything! I want this place to be lively! :D:laugh3:
  8. Yes, I get it. And I don't think that I'll find a good job straight away - at the beginning I'm counting with some jobs like at a farm or somewhere. My aim at the beginning will be to have SOME job. Not a really good one, hope I would eventually get there. Anyway, my boyfriend is a really skillful cabinetmaker and very good with wood, and all the manual work in fact. And that's a plus for him, in my opinion, because not many people nowadays can do this.
  9. Thanks for the reaction. I know that it won't be easy, but I'd like to try it at least. First, I'd like to go there for a year or so and see. Why do you think that it's easier to move to another country as a student? The problem is that I'll have to stay here until I finish the university. I don't know if it's possible to finish it in another country.
  10. Thanks for you answer! :) Doing the CAE/CPE exam is what I'm planning to do in the future. :) I did FCE exam three years ago and I want to wait a year or two and study hard and then go and try the CPE exam. :) Agree, I've been thinking about going to the UK. :) And I also heard that for example in Norway, they don't accept any more immigrants now. But I don't know if it's 100% true. :) But a friend of mine is studying in Sweden now and he told me that he was surprised how many foreigners there are in Sweden. But Sweden is incredibly expensive for the Czechs. (But maybe for people from other countries as well. :)) And what about the UK - I think I'll try going there for a year or so and I'll see. I wanted to ask you - my boyfriend is a cabinetmaker and also a specialist in furniture repairing and conservating - do you think there's a chance that he'll be able to find a job there? :)
  11. Hi, I've been thinking about moving abroad a lot recently, and besides reading random opinions on the net, I was thinking about asking you what your opinion is as a lot of people from different countries from all over the world come here. The thing is that I'll be turning 21 this year and I'm studying university, economics. In three years, when I'm 24, I'll (hopefully) have a master's degree. I live in the Czech republic, where the life isn't that bad like somewhere else, but I'd like to try living somewhere else anyway. So me and my boyfriend were thinking about moving abroad - and my question is - what's your opinion about this and have you got any tips or advices for me? For example some countries that aren't completely hostile at immigrants? Or do you or someone you know have some experience with moving abroad? I'd appreciate anything that you have to tell me. Thanks a lot!
  12. This is a real tragedy. I'm sorry for everyone, who's lost someone in this gruesomeness. I can't even find the right words to express my sympahty. And I hope that bastard will be in prison for the rest of his life, 21 years isn't enough at all. I'd condemn him for life at minimum.
  13. I did. But as I said - it was a coincidence. Two sisters work there all summer, and that summer, neither of them could be there. Good for me. But now, they're there all the time again. ;)
  14. No :( It was a coincidence that I got the job there. :\
  15. Unfortunately not :( I'll sell at local grocery's.
  16. Hello :) Well, finally, I found a summer job, but it was really difficult :)
  17. Yup, it's not any good here neither, it was really hard for me to find a summer job. Thanks a lot. I'm really curious about the university, the system is absolutely different from high schools. :)
  18. I see. I know it's really hard to write every day. When I was younger, I wanted to be a journalist, but sometimes I just couldn't "catch the line" or how to express it. And I changed my mind  Good luck with looking for the job. I know it's pretty difficult nowadays to find a good job. :\ I'll study a 3 years degree so far. Afterwards, I'll see. Anyway, if everything goes well, I'd like to study one more "field" - English. :D
  19. Ahaa :) Yeah, I know you were trying your luck in some writings. ;) What job would you like to apply for? :) I'd also like to do an Erasmous scholarship when I'm at university :)
  20. What are you laughing at? :P
  21. Yup, I've seen that thread. :) Thanks a lot, but it was ok for me  Anyway, I'm going to study European economy, administrative and cultural studies. It's kind of a mixture of economy, law and languages (I'll have two languages obligatory - English and French). :) I hope it'll be interesting. :D What about you? :)
  22. You're not surprised nor glad at all. That sucks. :( Yup. I use Facebook for communicating with my friends. :P
  23. Aaaah! Hello, Ari :) I've come back :) Missed the forum a bit  Plus, I need to practise my English, and sometimes French :D Anyway, I passed my school-leaving exam, and got accepted to the university. So I'm doing pretty well! :) What about you? :)
