  2. it's ok, don't worry about it, it's just something i don't think either of us would really be comfortable discussing here. :)
  3. actually those two songs were on my list anyway. :P I DJ'ed a wedding reception one time and played both of those songs, and even i was nearly in tears while i was trying to decide whether to play some sinatra or some madonna.
  4. you leafs going to try and actually compete this time around? :smug:
  5. haha that smiley is so cute.
  6. i'll probably be here intimidating you in typical philadelphia fashion win or lose. :P
  7. i know why, trust me, but i'm not going to go into that now. ;)
  8. yes, a bit sappy, and yes, a bit stupid, but it could be fun. :P here are mine: The Beatles - "I Will" The Beach Boys - "God Only Knows" The Chords - "Sh'Boom" The Righteous Brothers - "Unchained Melody" The Flamingos - "I Only Have Eyes For You" Badly Drawn Boy - "You Were Right" Ben Folds - "The Luckiest" The Beach Boys - "And Their Hearts Were Full of Spring" that'll do for now.
  9. hmm... that sounds like a new thread.
  10. and an "F" for "games won." :P
  11. i just would rather save myself the awkwardness of conversing with some people. :D
  12. both of those songs make me cry every time i hear them. (is there a smiley for "bittersweet?") Faure: "Cantique de Jean Racine" as peformed by the Cambridge Singers. god what a beautiful song.
  13. i guess it must be pretty effective, because if other people are doing that all the time, i certainly never notice it.
  14. AGH! my (oft-mentioned) ex-girlfriend used to do that all the time! she'd kick me and it would wake both of us up, then she'd ask me what i was doing. "nothing, you just kicked the crap out of me!"
  15. my dad just turned 50, actually... and yes, i'm the oldest.
  16. well, they get an "A" for effort anyway. :P
  17. nope. younger brother and older dad. because it's important to make the distinction that my dad is older than me.
  18. i do that all the time. or i pretend not to see somebody if i don't want to talk to them. i walk really fast like i'm in a hurry, and look down a lot like i'm adjusting my watch or my cell phone or something.
  19. Sub Sub - "Space Face"
  20. yeah, the "jimmy legs," in seinfeldian. i think every girlfriend i've ever had has those.
  21. for some reason i've always had this image in my head of all mental health experts being middle-aged to elderly men with thick gray moustaches, reading glasses and german accents. so of course when i started realizing that i was slightly off my rocker, i started seeing a therapist and psychiatrist who were both young women. anyway, i was reminded of that by the glasses thing. :)
  22. yeah, despite the impression i may give here, i'm not quite what you'd call "self-confident" or "outgoing." anyway, yeah that's good that you can control your anger. should keep you out of jail for awhile.
  23. you guys brought some of it the first two games, we just brought more of it. whatever it is. goals i suppose.
  24. thanks, me too. :D i know it's sort of uncharacteristic of me to make posts like that, but sometimes two hours a week on the shrink's couch doesn't seem like enough.
