altarnative defo. New York band. they mix so many different styles! The singer has a reggae-fitting voice and some songs got this great jamaican beat and then they mix african sounds and classical music and pop&rock. They became very popular, I actually thought that it was again some over-the-top-going hype over some new actually-not-that-goog a band, but now I understand the hype completely. The lyrics I haven't listened too closely yet, but I read from somewhere that they are pretty witty. Well, they are uni guys after all. http://www.myspace.com/vampireweekend very fascinating the new Destroyer album is also brilliant. This year has sure started well music-wise.
