it was like... Mile Marker 38 Baptist Church! Turn Left! (i look and I'm like "umm... the dirt road is completely blocked off by bushes"... its as if the shrubs were trying to tell us something) We stopped at a gas station/convenience store/someone's home to ask for directions to the nearest fireworks stand. It was as if they'd never seen people before, because as we were walking in, this lady's kid bolted for the next room, and peeked out at us through the crack in the door.

open field... you have those in Alabama? All of our open fields have been replaced by a Publix with a Kroger right next to it. Or a McDonald's with a Burger King next to it. Or a Walgreens with a CVS right next to it. Or a Starbucks with a... Starbucks next to it.

I drove to Alabama last summer to go get fireworks... during that drive, I passed more churches than homes, and hit my first roadkill (a furby).

chinese food appetizers, its a noodle stuffed with vegetables and chicken. Then you boil em and saute them in a teriaki sesame sauce. mmmm....
