  1. Gibson/Epiphone - Fender/Squire I actually talked to a guitar salesman today about the difference between the Gibson line, and the Epiphone line. This theory is the same for Fenders vs Squires. The Epiphones are actually made in Asia, and they use cheaper pots and wiring which is why they cost much less than the Gibson brand. He also mentioned that a Gibson Les Paul will typically only have about four sets of hands building it from start to finish, whereas an Epiphone will see about 35-40 employees build it in more of an assembly line fashion. I'm not trying to rip on your Epi, it looks like a very nice piece and I'm sure it sounds great too. I just happen to stumble onto this thread and wanted to pass on what I learned today. As mentioned earlier, the same holds true for the Fender and Squire line. The Squires are built overseas, and the Fenders are built right here in the USA. Keep on playing!
  2. At the DC concert in February, Fiona Apple started promptly at 8pm and played until 8:40. About 45 minutes later there was a 2 minute warning blackout before a total blackout, and a few minutes later Square One started. Coldplay did about 2 solid hours counting the encore. Not sure if Ashcroft is following the same schedule.
  3. My list will stray from the over-played radio hits... Parachutes: 1 Shiver 2 Sparks (perfectly placed in "Wedding Crashers") 3 High Speed A Rush of Blood To The Head 1 God Put A Smile On Your Face 2 Amsterdam 3 A Rush Of Blood To The Head X&Y 1 Twisted Logic 2 X&Y 3 Til Kingdom Come (awesome played live) Let's party in Philly on April 6th!!
  4. Philly I'll be in Philly, on the floor as well. It is the last US concert for the X&Y tour. Then they will take off for 2 1/2 months before going to Japan. Has anyone else heard/read rumors of Coldplay possibly breaking up after the tour?
  5. I was at the DC show on March 2, 2006. It was my first Coldplay concert, and it was my 10 year old's first concert ever. He will never forget it. It was amazing. I applaud Coldplay (and Fiona Apple) for starting the show on time, and playing late into the night. I have already bought tickets to the Philadelphia show in April, which looks to be their last US appearance for a long time.
