i don't think anything that was said was too harsh.... and it was posted in the other artists forum, so it should be allowed right? i have one friend who likes to get on my case that coldplay rip off radiohead....yet he doesn't even listen to coldplay!! NOW that is an unfounded opinion, where as your's have substance to them adrenn....i just say to him well if you actually just listen to some of their stuff then you can tell me what you think of coldplay.... i listen to coldplay and radiohead, i honestly don't think there are too many similarities...yes they both play piano, (chris uses it more on their albums...seems to me thom has stuck more with the acoustic guitar) i am not trying to be an expert on either band (cause god know's i certainly AM NOT) this is just my observation from listening to the cds.....and they their both from england...so are a lot of great bands big deal. radiohead has been around longer...again so what, just because someone's been around longer doesn't mean their song writing skills go above and beyond someone who might just be starting out... so i think that my opinions on this topic are split down the middle, they are both good bands!! i feel like sometimes there is no use arguing over which band is better, cause every musician has their own style and each are orriginal in their own way...it's like asking well which of the master painter's are the best!? and one would probably answer well i like this painting by so and so, but i also like this about someone else...same with music it's ok to say you like alot of different bands!! :-D

radiohead are a half baked sigur ros .... but that doesn't mean i don't love coldplay, radiohead, and sigur ros :) i've heard live radiohead stuff, they can't hold a candle to sigur ros!

way back in september, and i just got a reply from them, here's what the [email protected] responded.... Here goes a nice'n'polite rejection letter (my question below) subject:taping and trading? question:does coldplay allow taping and free trading of their lives show's amoungst their fans? so i guess that's their way of saying no?? if so that totally sucks and they're missing out big time on a way for fans to get involved and spread the music!

it's called strung out on radiohead... they did ok computer in all strings.

has anyone heard that strung out on radiohead cd?? (i think they did this to OK computer?) is it similar to that?? if soo, i want this!! i can picture it being fantasic!

sigur ros is :shock: and :-D and :cry: and :o live...it was seriously one of the most amazing live music expierences ever! (they're up there with coldplay if not tied to their performance) the raw emotion and intensity it's just almost too much to handle...so beautiful!! ( ) is a great album to play soft and drift off to sleep listening too.

i'm 20 ....will be 21 in 5.5 months can't wait :)

there's no effort!! it's soo easy! all you have to do i post in the newbie's forum and mentor's will take care of you there... i've got lots of his live show's to trade :) i agree kristina is a beautiful track on "australia" !!! and i don't know if i've heard of people not liking howie's cover of karma police, i think he rocks that song out live!! anyway, i wish coldplay show's were taped and traded more often! i have one live coldplay show the kentish town forum (radio 1 thing) what ever it was called, it's such a good show though.... but it would be so great if they had more taper's and trader's i think it would make the fan community closer, howie's boards were founded on the purpose of taping trading and spreading live music we're a friendly close community, but we LOVE new people hey we've got a whole forum for you guys to get started on that stuff!

yes definately check howie out!! if you like what you hear, go to http://www.thehdtb.com and post on his boards, and people there can hook you up with live show's and such... my screen name is dmbluv412step over there (old cliche name i hate it i'm known as dyermaker73 everywhere else though) any way, check him out i highly suggest downloading, bunnies, she says, and live version of ghost (or studio), madrigals, after you, sweet, disco, any of his songs are great.

sweety 230 told me to post here :) so i'm just going to say hello!!! i'm laura from maryland on the east coast, only seen coldplay twice, perhaps three times by this friday..umm i adore jonny, and art, and all that is coldplay, and lots of other music too! umm i guess that's it...ohh does anyone know where to find the blue room ep.. besides singles i'm pretty sure that's the only one i don't have, and i want it :D i guess i probably have to import it or something... anyway, just making my introduction, how is everyone on this fine sunday? :) [edit] i appologize i didn't see that there was a post specifically for introducing yourself a few threads down .... you may delete or move this one over there, sorry perhaps i should have read that faq's but the link doesn't work for me??
