It's kind of pointless to sit here and argue about who the best songwriter is. They both write different songs. You can't say that Chris is better or Tim is better because there is no way to objectively judge. It's just a matter of taste and basically whether you like Coldplay or Keane better. On this board, most people will say Chris is a better songwriter. On a Keane website, most will side with Tim.

A lot of people aren't confident in what they create. I think he's somewhat of a perfectionist and can never be completely happy with something. He's always being too hard on himself. I don't think he's trying to be "cute." He's just insecure, which is crazy because he's fucking brilliant. So basically Chris wrote all the lyrics to that song? That's awesome. It really sounds like something he would write too, because it has a nature-like awe-inspiring tone. It's a good song.

We all slag this girl off so much, but what if the entire time she was actually calling her friends saying "OMFG, I'm on the fucking stage with Coldplay! OMG! Guy's ass is three feet away from my face! OMFG!!!" Uhh...yeah, because that's what I would have done! :D

Hey, Lincoln6Echo, I have to know....are a fan of the movie The Island? Cause I love that movie (and ewan mcgregor, hehe). :lol: Anyway, Coldplay is the only band I actually CARE about. I have a ton of other bands that I love and listen to constantly, but Coldplay is like...my being. This sounds so stupid and cheesy, but I become instantly happier when I think of Coldplay. :)

Eh...I don't know. If Tim was in the band, who would play the piano? I like Chris on piano. And would Tim write ALL the songs (like he does for Keane)? :confused: I don't really like the idea of Coldplay being different though, because then they wouldn't be the same Coldplay I love right now. I think things are better the way they are now.

I love Chris's voice more than anything (obviously, haha) but yeah Tom has a nice voice too. Although in Is It Any Wonder he sounds eerily like Bono. Seriously, I hate making U2 comparisons, but when I first heard that song I really thought it was a U2 song. :stunned: Anyway, I would be really pissed too if I was in a band that was constantly compared to another band, because it makes it hard to establish your own identity. Coldplay got enough of that too with the neverending Radiohead comparisons. Every band gets compared to someone else. you just have to deal with it I guess.
