  1. :stunned: DROP. DEAD. GORGEOUS. :stunned:
  2. I love the Barack t-shirt. I want one! Maybe I'll just raid his closet and take it from him. it's kind of weird that an English musician is supporting an Ameican politician. but if he can get some coldplay fans to vote for obama then it's brilliant.
  3. I'm glad someone made a thread about him! I think he's brilliant and gorgeous. He's also about to get really fucking famous in America and I'm excited for him! yay
  4. It's not about being fooled. What would Obama have to gain by "fooling" us? What, so he can become president and implement a different agenda than he promised? Wow, what trickery! I don't think people are being naive; they are being hopeful and taking a chance on a fresh face and idea. What's wrong with that? If we end up being duped, so what! At least we took a CHANCE on change, instead of settling with the cowardly decision of keeping the status quo because of fear of shaking things up.
  5. Really? you think his accent is the same? To me the difference is so obvious. In interviews and in song, his accent is changed. He used to speak as if he had marbles in his mouth, and now he sounds British-lite. I'm American and to me it seems really obvious, but I guess it varies what other people hear. anyway, I had no idea about the surgery. yikes! Don't you get nodes from screaming/yelling when singing? I didn't think you could develop those from singing softly and using your falsetto. you learn something new everyday!
  6. I think the biggest vocal difference from parachutes to now is his accent. Has anyone else noticed that his Brit accent has faded a lot over the years? It kinda bugs me cause it's part of his identity, and yet he's beginning to sound less British and more American. On top of that, he seems to be singing louder or something. His voice was a lot softer and smoother on older tracks, whereas now it sounds like he's yelling at times. I think he needs to get back in touch with his original style instead of letting his voice coach or whoever change his singing.
  7. This is the funniest thng I've ever read....
  8. I also think it's Phil. But what if it was one of the other guys in the band??? Chris? Will?? :sneaky: that'd be real interesting...
  9. I'll be in section 127, 4th row. Anyone have any guesses as to which section they'll play the acoustic songs in?
  10. those pictures are beautiful! :stunned: and the last paragraph, omg.. :laugh3:
  11. wow, it's been a while since we've seen chris with the kids. he looks pissed about the paps! I guess i would be too... ... don't you just wish chris would father YOUR kids? :wink3:
  12. Overrated: The Scientist Underrated: White Shadows
  13. why would she wear such a revealing dress if she's preggers and doesn't want the attention?! weird wardrobe decision gwynnie!
  14. Clocks and Yellow should never be dropped -- those are classics! And if Coldplay won't play them live, who will? Fix You on the other hand is totally unnecessary for this tour, considering they're promoting VLV not X&Y. Honestly it's not their best song, nor very good live. Chris can't ever seem to sing it remotely as good as the album version.
  15. Lost! is one of my favs. I definitely like it more than lost? I can see why the band love it too...
  16. last few pages/pictures have been brilliant. he's very pouty in that last one too :D
  17. his walking out is totally NOT a big deal. he's not bipolar, he's human, jeeez! all publicity is good publicity when you've got an album coming out. Seriously, he is making a lot of headlines for non-music related things lately and it's not a coincidence. it is ALL going to help sell records.
  18. wow, chris has "stormed" out of two interviews in one week! except that his version of storming involves politely walking away and then coming back and apologizing. haha, i love his personality! :D
  19. Here's a thought: maye he felt sick??? I definitely don't think he walked out because of boredom -- he's not that dumb. He had to be offended in some way. It's a shame the press will love this because it's not like he stormed out, he politely walked out and came back. anyway, I feel bad for Chris, and the interviewer has a million enemies now. haha
  20. most people are intellectually capable of forming their own opinions about music. i dont understand why people read reviews. anyway i only look at RS for the interviews and pictures...
  21. I didn't think it was possible, but I do believe I love Chris Martin even more after reading that. I have to say though, his opinion on American politics is not much different from the rest of the world's. The world is in agreement that we have shitty leadership in America right now. I too believe Obama can turn it around for us. We desperately need a fresh face!
  22. haha. a lot of female coldplay fans probably think he's attractive. personally I would give so many things (body parts, whatev) to be with Chris Martin for ONE day. I don't think he's "hot" per se, but he has a lot of captivating features that I think make him beautiful in a way. Anyhoo.... i've randomly been thinking about chris's soft breathy speaking voice that he uses sometimes... (:wink3:)... and I wonder if it's put on or natural. like if i met him on the street, is that how he would talk? i don't know...
  23. WOWWWW. :o seriously that is GORGEOUS. officially one of my favorite pics of him! thanks for that!
