Nah. He was good at school. Dropped out of college and joined the navy for 19 years. Retired now. Blah. But he didn't have a father figure around so I guess he's just wants to be there for me. :confused: He spoils me too. ^_^ I know he loves me and wants the best for me, but God DAMN.

Not about the running off to hollywood, no. But yes, I have. I'm always like, "You have nothing to worry about!" and I always make sure I tell him, "Oh, I got an A in English!" or whatever. But nooo, it's never good enough. >.< And I DO study. :\

Do you ever feel really pressured by the people around you to succeed or do something or whatever? How do you tell them to back the fuck off??! Seriously. My dad is driving me nuts with this college bullshit. I know he wants me to succeed and blah blah, but I mean, there's no need to scream at me and hurt my feelings just because I'm not living up to is expectations, which are ridiculously high. OK, I do GREAT in school. I'm not bragging or anything it's just that I do really good. I make good grades and everything. And I do a lot of things outside of school too, but is that enough for him? NO. I fail one--ONE--test and my life is over. He DIVES off the deep end and screams, "YOU CAN'T GET INTO COLLEGE WHEN YOU FAIL TESTS! HOW DO YOU EXPECT SURVIVE COLLEGE WITH THE STUDY HABITS YOU HAVE?! I DON'T PAY FOR YOU TO FUCK UP!" But Seriously. How do I tell my loving father to calm the hell down. How can I assure him that it'll be alright and that I get to my dream college. Honestly, all the pressure he's putting on me and all the doubt that I doing good enough that he's putting in my head makes me NOT want to go to college at all. It makes me wanna say, "FUCK IT!" and run off to hollywood or somewhere and pursue a musical career or something... Oh, and I'm in tenth grade. HELP!

And the sad part is, my dad's nagging WON'T stop even when I DO get into college.

I hate it too. It usually happens when I'm late to school. It starts this chain reaction. I'm late to school so I'm late to my first class and I forgot something in my locker b/c I sprinted to class and then I don't get credit. :confused: And I hate it when plans change or don't work out too.

Oh I love the "Yes Please!" part! And Yellow was PERFECT. :D ^ I try to get my friends into Coldplay, and it's only been successful twice. My best friend is now just as obsessed as I am (maybe more? :o ) and I burned my other friend X&Y last year. YAY. :lol:

I had a War of the Worlds type dream once. It was so scary. :o The street and sidewalks outside were bending and shaking and the sky was purplish and grey and those machines were chasing us around. And I had another dream were my mom dropped me off at this place and just drove off. And the people there tried to sell me so I could be someone's child who couldn't have kids- but NO ONE would buy me! :confused:

I'm just spamming this thread- but I had a bunch of Coldplay thoughts today! OK! On this local commercial promoting this news team this lady's running and one of the reporters goes, "You run at a fast pace, sometimes you run in circles." And I thought of the scientist. And there's this other commercial where they play "Everybody's Happy Nowadays", but not the Ash/Chris Martin version, but I still thought about Chris. AND: I was calling my mom afterschool to see when she was going to pick me up and I was on my cell phone and blah blah. Anyway, me and my friends like to make a lot of noise in the background whenever one of us is on the phone. ANYWAY, one of my friends went, "OH CHRIS MARTIN, FUCK ME!" And I was just like, :o Oh my God! I was on the phone with my MOTHER. AAAAND! I watched bits of the toronto concert on youtube (THANKS TWISTEDCLOCKS!!!!!) and I LOVE IT! My eyes were welling up during Speed of Sound where Chris went, "Oh, yes please!" And let the audience sing and you could hear Will clearly! AWWW! He's got a great voice. Anyway I was watching the concert and I was like, "This is why I love them so much!" :D OK, sorry I was about to burst! I have to tell these things to SOMEONE! I feel like I did when I first fell in love with Coldplay tonight, for some reason. You understand.

For like, 3 or 4 years I thought the Clocks lyric was, "Curse me! Star of oppurtinity!" And I thought that was so lovely and poetic and astronomical and biblical and mythological (sp?) and that's why I fell in love with Coldplay! Because they're mystical and mythological and etc. But today I found out that it's NOT: "Curse me! Star of oppurtunity!" It's "Curse missed oppurtunities." Fuck. :dozey: I guess that makes more sense? Ah well, I still think Coldplay is all of the above. ^ :D
