Martin walks out of BBC interview
I agree, and that's what upset Chris. Chris has a hard time making sense of the stuff he writes as it is without the interviewer making it even more complicated and asking him questions he probably didn't really understand how to answer. But rather than get upset he could have just been like, "It's really quite simple actually....insert explanation here." He'll give himself high-blood pressure, lol. He gets irritated too easily.

Martin walks out of BBC interview
I heard it with my ears, lol. lol, I actually think Radio 4 was quite nice about it. The interviewer could have made comments to make Chris a douche, but the worst name he called him was "reluctant" and that he was.

Martin walks out of BBC interview
Yeah, I love to assassinate one of my favorite artists. Wearing your heart on your sleeve is one thing, but the point is, he had no reason to get upset. From his short answers to just walking out...to putting Will in that position. I only say this because a few weeks ago I was reading an interview where he did the exact same thing. I don't care what Chis does really, I'm only concerned because it paints a bad image of him and his bandmates. I don't know how many times I've had to read people say that Chris Martin is stuck up or Chris Martin is a prick...and it's just not the case.

Martin walks out of BBC interview
I hate this excuse, lol. Are Guy, Will, and Jonny all super-human then? Chris is moody, from all accounts. That's just him, it's not just because he's human. Otherwise we'd all be treating one another like poop. "Hey how's the wife and kids? :)" "F_CKING MIND YOUR BUSINESS. WHAT'S YOUR FAVORITE SEX POSITION? :veryangry:"

:( lol If I had his e-mail, i'd send this to him and tell him this is why he needs to tone it down a bit.

Perez on Coldplay...again.
The chances that Perez actually sat down and listened to the album properly are slim to none. He probably heard it leaked, downloaded the leak and played them through his laptop speakers.

Perez on Coldplay...again.
Remember when Chris goes, "Who cares what some fat guy with a pen thinks?" I may be being "weightist" but I don't care. lol PS: No point in reading the comments, he doesn't read them and there are too many to compete with!

Martin walks out of BBC interview
If he is then I'd feel bad for criticising him, lol. But I hope there is someone in his life that he trusts that can be like, "Dude, you need to calm down. If someone asks about your kids or your wife, just nicely decline to answer. If a question is too hard or detailed, ask for a simplification or correct the person and answer (respectfully) in a way you see fit." I don't know...it just annoys me that now I'm beginning to see people say that Coldplay are a bunch of pricks when I know that's not the case. Chris seems like someone that just wants to make music, but doesn't want to deal with any part of the celebrity aspect of it. Maybe he should be like Michael Jackson and become a recluse. :laugh3: It's just gotten worse as time goes by...go back and watch earlier interviews and he was a lot more easy going.

Martin walks out of BBC interview
Chris has to realize then that not every interview is going to be a blast...instead of being bratty everytime something happens that he doesn't care for. He's said it himself...with any job you have to deal with pests, things you'd rather not deal with. But he said then "I don't mind." Yeah, sure. I'm only concerned because he's not a bad guy, but his moodswings...if he doesn't put them in check..in some area of his life it's going to bite him in the ass.

Yep. Chris is on his period or something...

Martin walks out of BBC interview
There is a difference between having bad days and always acting like a moody toddler... Chris is creating a bad rep for himself and the band. The rest of the other guys are human as well.

Martin walks out of BBC interview
Martin walks out of BBC interview Coldplay singer Chris Martin has walked out of a BBC interview while promoting the band's new album. Nine minutes into the pre-recorded interview for Radio 4 arts show Front Row, the 31-year-old asked to leave the studio as he was not enjoying himself. The band's drummer, Will Champion, was left to answer questions from presenter John Wilson until Martin returned for one final question. Coldplay's new album, Viva La Vida, was released on Thursday. 'Journalistically twisting' Martin appeared uncomfortable with the interview from the outset. When asked about a speech he made at a music awards ceremony in 2005 where he said the band would be away "for a very long time", Martin said: "I always say stupid things and I think Radio 4 is the place that will most remind me of that." The band had French Revolution-style uniforms made to promote the album Presenter Wilson questioned whether the new album - full title, Viva La Vida Or Death And All His Friends - was a morbid reflection of the band's lyrical obsession with death. "I wouldn't agree with you there at all, no," said Martin. "I'd say you're journalistically twisting me into saying something I don't really mean." A few minutes later, Martin said he was "not really enjoying this" and that he did not really like "having to talk about things". Champion answered the remaining questions before the frontman returned to answer a final question, about finding new musical territory, with the response: "Um....yes...yes, yes....exactly..." Sales figures released by the Official UK Charts Company confirm Viva La Vida sold 125,000 copies in its first day on sale. It looks certain to be number one in this Sunday's album chart despite only being released towards the end of the week. http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/entertainment/7452341.stm ------------ Anyone getting concerned with these moodswings? Chris needs to get himself together before it starts giving the entire band a bad image. Chances are something upset him before the interview and he was just pissed from the get go. How much do you want to bet he's been reading reviews? Maybe he expected them all to sing Coldplay's praises this round and he's upset that they are still slagging them off. I feel bad for him, but at the same time...he needs tougher skin. I wish he had a lot more confidence in their work. Poor Will though, lol.

He's said it before, I'm pretty sure it was the last time they had the cover of this very same magazine. He's kidding, chill out.

NZ Herald: The Coldplay list (Viva la Vida review)
As all these things are being released, I'm sure Chris is reading them and going "Hmm yes, I agree...we are shit...we are shit." haha, I hope he's not reading them.

The Jesus of Uncool: Chris Martin: The Rolling Stone Interview
First point, I really think Chris should have more confidence in his abilities. All I ever hear him do is talk down on his work...and in the end it makes me feel about stupid for enjoying all of the things he thinks are really shit! lol What's the point of making music if you don't believe in what you're doing? What happens if the NYT again says Coldplay are a bunch of insufferable men? Is he going to agree and then start talking bad about this album too? Sheeshhh. He's allowed to like his work, and the rest of them are too. As long as he's not getting all Kanye West about it, what's the harm? Second, haha a world vote on the US president. Sounds about right. I agree about the revenge thing. It made me sad to think about..and he's right about the weapons. That's exactly why the US gets so bent out of shape at the thought of any other country that we dont call and ally having them. The fear that they will seek revenge...

COLDPLAY IS BULLSHIT...
is this serious?

My concerns with Guy and Will
Jonny and Chris have always been close, it's not as if it's new. When Chris has a moodswing, Jonny is probably like..."Hahaha not again! :D" The other two probably don't put up with the nonsense. lol

Jonny had his legs crossed too!

June 6: The Hour interviews Coldplay
Aww this is fun. Finally, Chris seems at ease. Nearly all the interviews I've seen up until this point he seems uneasy, lol. I guess the piano comforted him. haha
