  1. Well, maybe he sounded humorous... Anyway I think you're not totally right : -First, it's obvious to me that, even if it was brilliant, Muse's music did not really evolve between Showbiz and Absolution. If you listen to some songs like Futurism/Hysteria, Dead Star/Yes Please, Shine/Screenager, even Muscle Museum/Apocalypse Please... you'll notice that Matt uses many many times the same effects, chords, even lyrics. -Then, I think Placebo's music changed a lot with each album, from a very teenage-sounding gothic rock to something much more mature, with some kind of adult desperation. Anyway, don't misunderstand : I love both as much !
  2. Thank you very very much !
  3. I would love to, but I can't, they tell me I have to sign in. Maybe I'll sign in... I'm looking for the B-Sides and EPs which were released after Hail To The Thief. Can anyone help me ?
  4. Mad Yannis Dance - Richard Wright
  5. Yeah, that's right ! Well, I think it's a good thing that they did something really different this time. It makes me think of an interview of Brian Molko (I luv Placebo) for a French magazine, about the release of Placebo's Best Of (Once More With Feeling) : (Translated into English by me...) Journalist : There are two brand new songs, including something unusual, a song of optimistic love ("I Do"). Don't you think the audience could dislike it ? Molko : Well, if people don't like change, they should listen to Muse, they've done the same thing for five years... With Black Holes, this can't be said any more.
  6. W - Waits (Tom)
  7. Y - You Never Wash Up After Yourself (Radiohead)
  8. X :)
  9. M - Morrissey (Stephen Patrick)
  10. Yeah I also want it so bad ! OK I love "Starlight" more and more, but I think it can never overtake "Citizen Erased" in my heart. I think it's the most beautiful thing Matthew ever composed (maybe ex-aequo with "Space Dementia") !
  11. Yep KoC was released in the US instead of Supermassive, but it may be the third or fourth single in other countries.
  12. Sade
  13. Hahaha ! OK I feel miserable now ! Don't laugh at me too loud... Yep I'd like to hear it.
  14. OK ! Then i just found a 30-second clip. If someone wants 10 seconds more, then ask ! By the way, will someone tell me what's the "Knights Of Cydonia" B-Side (if there's one), or will you all leave me falling away with my ignorance ?
  15. Then i'm glad I posted on this thread, getting people into muse, 'coz Muse roxx !!
  16. I've to ask something : What's the "Knights Of Cydonia" B-Side ? And then, could anyone upload "Easily" ? I think the whole "Knights Of Cydonia" sounds very much like Queen's "Bohemian Rhapsody" (you know the voices singing in harmony "No-one's gonna taaaaaake meeeee aaliiiiiive..."), and I love both songs ^^.
  17. The Kooks Simon or Garfunkel ?

  20. My favourite is definetly Parachutes : I absolutely love all the songs (including "Careful Where You Stand" and "For You"), and the general naive and hopeful atmosphere. "Don't Panic" is a wonderful first song, and the couple "Everything's Not Lost"/"Life Is For Living" closes wonderfully the LP with a message of hope and harmlessness. I think A Rush Of Blood To The Head is the one I like the least, even though it's wonderful and includes my favourite Coldplay song "Amsterdam". I love "Politik", "The Scientist", "Green Eyes", and I like "In My Place", "A Rush Of Blood To The Head", "Warning Sign", but there are two songs that I can't listen to : "God Put A Smile Upon Your Face", and "A Whisper". I don't know why, I can't imagine how I could like them. I quite like X & Y in general, and there are songs that I love on it (mainly "Square One", "Fix You", "X & Y", "Low" and "Twisted Logic"). I love the X-Side, but I think the Y-Side could've been better (I find "A Message" and "The Hardest Part" particularly boring). Anyway, X & Y has a wonderful feeling and is a great album.
