[26-Jun-2012] Coldplay @ Toyota Center, Houston, TX, USA
Just got back. And that was it Texas, Mylo Xyloto Tour. Probably the best show of this year and probably of the decade. Florida get ready because the boys are in GREAT shape! Same set-list all over again, but it works so GOOD that you don't even notice. Everything goes so fast that it seems that two hours went by in merely fifteen minutes. Chris fucked up twice and joked about it, requesting everybody not to upload the videos to YouTube (classic line). I think he needs to talk a little bit more and also to say different things in each concert, it is not that difficult. But who cares? I am in for the MUSIC, not to hear Chris talk. The show is so GOOD that you unconsciously try to find the downsides, because your brain cannot believe how good it is. The Xylobands are the greatest invention ever (thank you Jason) and they will be MISSED very much when they are gone. It will never be the same without them! It you would ask me to highlight a single song, I would say that the best song of the set is God Put A Smile Upon Your Face or Don't Let It Break Your Heart. It is AMAZING what they did with GPASUYF. It is going to become a new favorite with this new version they are playing live. I have heard the song live recorded many many times, but believe me, to see it and hear live it is a whole different experience. Will is out of his cocoon. It is sad they are not doing the encore, because I think that the crowd must earn to hear Clocks, Fix You and ETIAW, which was massive tonight. Other songs you will love are Paradise (which is a thousand times better live), obviously Charlie Brown and Yellow with the mellow intro is a true gem. At the gates the security staff were saying that this was COLDPLAY's last concert in Texas since they were splitting up. I had to tell them: are you NUTS? When you hear how they have changed old songs and what has come out (Yellow, GPASUYF) you know that this band has so much to give us that it will be a long time before they truly gone. I really enjoyed my days in Texas and for me the best show was Dallas on Saturday. Today was second best. Texas crowds are amazing and I really hope to be back one day to see another Coldplay concert here. Thanks for everything guys, take care and let's goooooo Tampa!!!!

Hello everybody! Very good show at Houston tonight, but for me it didn't beat the two Dallas shows (especially Saturday). You know, as I move with the tour, I learn that sometimes where you are makes a WHOLE difference. Tonight I was in the floor, pretty near the stage and I didn't felt so much energy and support like I have felt from "worse" seats. I have learned that I like my dancing space and the closer you are to the stage, the less space you have. It is a shame that some people go to the concert just for going and they just seat there and do not enjoy it. A band like Coldplay should at least someday make a show only for HUGE fans. It would be unbelievable. Let's get to the show now. I really liked more the American Airlines Center than the Toyota Center. Much better in all ways from my point of view. Wolf Gang was pretty nice again, I think they are up to big things, once the time comes. They have several good songs in their catalog. Robyn was very applauded by the audience, and I have said before she has great dancing skills and some good songs. Regarding her cover of Every Teardrop is A Waterfall, I think it is a great cover, so different from the actual song that it does no harm playing it before the boys. What I think is that she shouldn't use the catwalk, as a sign for respect. But it is not a harmful thing, so let's better care about our favorite band! Tonight, God Put A Smile Upon Your Face was BRILLIANT!!! The drums were sounding great during that one and ETIAW. To me the highlights of this show are In My Place, Major Minus, Yellow, The Scientist, GPASUYF, Warning Sign and especially Don't Let It Break Your Heart, which sounds MASSIVE live. I am so glad they wrote a song like that one. It is one to look forward to, without a doubt. Furthermore, I really like Us Against the World and especially Speed of Sound, which I think is a wonderful addition to the set-list, since it is a great song. As a HUGE fan, there's always songs you would like to hear, like A Message, 'Til Kingdom Come, U.F.O. and Shiver, but I understand that they are comfortable with things the way they are. It was a great show, don't get me wrong, but I was surrounded by people who were not much into it and I could not move much, so there were some parts where I had to calm myself and try to see the things from a whole different perspective. Regarding the crowd, I still think Saturday's Dallas crowd is on top. Finally, a little gossip. Mr. Harvey is not on tour, since he is on holidays with his family. And I saw Chris's dad who had a Xyloband on and was cheering up during Clocks, Fix You and many other songs. It is AMAZING how this Sir keeps cheering after (I assume) seeing a whole tons of shows. That's true father love. Chris is a lucky fellow. To end, I met Kelly's sister, who sat right beside me with some family. She and her company were very nice and lovely. In short, COLDPLAY love all the way around. See ya tomorrow!

Just back from the show! Another amazing night, like everything that this band does, really. I don't think that tonight was better, since both nights were unbelievable. The boys are in great form and as I said yesterday, this show and tour will make history since it is a treat not to be missed. Finally met Angie (Texasluvsjonny), which felt like meeting one of the members of the band, she is a high class fan. The amount of stories she has is unbelievable, her knowledge of every single detail of touring and of course, she is the most nicest girl on earth, as any die-hard Coldplay fan would be. Wolf Gang did a great job again, I think they are to great things. I did not pay much attention to Robyn this time, but you can't deny she is a great dancer. As to the boys, I think EVERY SINGLE person left that arena COMPLETELY delighted. To me, the only song which can be changed in this setlist is Clocks. Time to bring back Politik, Amsterdam, or Lost. It is not going to be easy for any other artist around to top this show. Met Jason Regler, who is very nice, but also a very private chap, like any Englishman. He had the nice detail of giving me a setlist at the end of the show. Also met Miller, who was very nice, but as always in a hurry. Let me finish again with what I said yesterday. Do the IMPOSSIBLE, but please do not miss this show. If you do, you are going to regret it your whole life, since it is the most AMAZING show on the entire planet. We are fans of the BEST band in the whole PLANET right now, and I would go on to say that they will, without doubt, be the BEST band of this century. Cheers everybody! See you in Houston!

amazing review!!! Chris throws his guitar during God Put A Smile Upon Your Face. The guitar survives for some shows and then it is replaced.

it works pretty well the way it is, so I don't think they will change it. at least until November, when they go to Australia!

I went to Hard Rock Cafe yesterday. It was fine. House of Blues was closed since there was a private event. Neo Pizza sounds fine. I guess we should set up meeting place and time!
