Death and all his friends/The Escapist (song ) review
i might to agree with you there.... i've been a BIG coldplay fan for a few years now. I have probably 90% of their songs albums and b-sides. this is probably they're best song ever. I think it really sums of their career nicely over the last few years. it take aspects of every great coldplay song and makes it into something great.

Gah! They ALMOST Did It!
agreed completely, it's definitely a grower though. But i agree with the poster it's near perfect. I think the length is just right. leaves u wanting more. definitely in coldplays top 10 songs without a doubt though.

23-Jun-08: New York - Tickets, Preview, Meetups, Review/Photos
I'm pretty sure they didnt check names at all. Now, first let me be able to say i agree mostly with mooseaka. That being said, this was my first coldplay show and i had a blast. I pretty much knew all the words to every song. But I could tell from where i was sitting when they played most of their newer stuff hardly anyone any of the songs expect for VLV and VH. My favorite song was probably In My Place, which was my favorite song on the live album as well as Amsterdam. Viva La Vida, Lost!, and Lovers In Japan were quite good. Yes needed some work so did Violet Hill. quick side note: wingwill that flippin blows, If you have a picture of the guy post it and next time i see him ill remember to dropkick him in the knees. I was seating on the left side of the stage in the 200s I couldnt tell you the exact seat because my friend and I did our usual "seat hopping". we ended in a row really close to the aisle way next to an older couple. towards the end of the show chris says "We going to try something new with this show, and we don't normally do this but bear with us". next thing i know i see all the bandmates jump off the stage and im thinking "Crap what the hell are they doing???" I see them start climbing stairs in the aisle nearest to me and thats when i almost went into shock. when i gained composure Chris was litterally 2 feet from me. I see Will next grab his shoulder, he turns around and shakes my hand. It was a good hand shake too, not just one of those quick ones. I yell to him that they are fucking awesome and he continues going up the stairs to play an acoustic set of Yellow and some other song I didnt know where Will did lead vocals. I took a video of GPASOMF but i didnt get the hold song, i know someone was asking for one. I'll post soon. Overall i had a great night, well done Coldplay and I can't wait to see them again. I might try and go to the today show just for Sh!ts and giggles but im still debating. pics coming soon prolly after i get off work.

How to sneak cameras inside
well my advise if your a guy is be confident and somewhat crafty. Ive never really needed to hide mine in a special place, other than my back pocket. NOrmally the security only checks ppl with a lot of sh!t in their hands or hanging off their body ie; purse, big bag, murse, candy, camera bag, whatever. When you go through security be calm and act like you dont have anything and nothing to hide. Look at them like you've done this so many times before and they'll usally let you go. If they tell you to pull out whats in your back pocket just pull out your wallet and not your camera. Most guards just want to move everyone through as quickly as possible so they can just get back to doing absolutely nothing.

23-Jun-08: New York - Tickets, Preview, Meetups, Review/Photos
just got back like 10 mins ago. GREEEATT SHOW! Wwaaaay to short for any true coldplay fans taste though. I was bummed about no encore, espeically when bascially everyone was chanting there names for 3mins after they had left. I'm just so glad i got in. I felt the old stuff was really good but you could tell that they really havent all the kinks worked out of there new material. Overall best damn free show ive ever been to. Thanks Tom. I'll have pictures and videos up tomorrow or wedsnday along with my full review of my experience.

I don't want to hear Fix You, Yellow, Trouble in concert anymore

they were but i goofed on the address a bit because I just move here and couldnt remember the right thing. So my landlord sent it back. So i called and they said they would have them at will call if they didnt recieve them back in time to resend them again. It sucks. I might into a state of depression if I dont get those tickets.

yea i think we should meeet up ill be outside the garden around 6:15-6:30ish trying to get my tickets at will call. I'll be wearing skull shoes and a purple Crook&Castles tee probably. the today show starts at 7AM. which means you prolly want to camp out no later than 5AM. plus i dont even know if they will be playing a full set or not. Maroon 5 is also playing that morning on a different tv show so hopfully that will keep crowds down.

im up for a meet up as well! im sure we can set something up as the date nears. i just registered on the radio stations site. just in case. im sure if a group of us all walk in and if for some reason we cant get in it we can make a good case as to why we should be let in together.

i just got off the phone with the company in charge of the tickets. the guy said event though you might of registered late as long as you got to the next screen saying, see you at the show he thinks it should work. he said they are sending confirmations out today or tomorrow. and he said when you get to the venue it will just be like a normal check in, they'll just scan the tickets and you walk in. so hopefully that's what they'll do just scan the tickets to see if they're legit and not check ids i doubt they'll check ids cuz that would take soo much time. other wise im going to just say i forgot mine and im commin from out of town. oh and the guy claimed ppl who entered the contest from out of the area (out of new york city) still won and got emails just not as many.

New York show winners are ....
it accepted mine to. hopefully we'll all get in and have a great time.

yea im gonna send and angry or something to them. because well at first when i heard about it i thought "WOw great idea" but now i realize it was implemented poorly and a lot of true fans are really getting screwed because of it. how big is MSG anyway? there most be more than 3500 seats in that thing. someones gotta have more tickets. i work for CBS Radio so im gonna see if i can pull some strings or something. i would want to go the today show but it at like 7AM and i really dont think i can get up at 3AM and stand/sit on the street for 4 hours and maybe get in. im sure that concert will be a something close to a mob scence. plus i gotta work b at work in the morning and i dont htink they start playing till like 8am if not later so.... yea.
