We can build better flood protection, lead more sustainable lives, stop pumping CO2 into the upper atmosphere with air-travel and tread the earth more lightly. But alas, when carbon dioxide is created it releases energy which is used for heating and everything else. To reduce the carbon dioxide back into seperate carbon and oxygen you'd need to put energy into it. Something to do with the conservation of energy.

This water comes out of the tap and is clean, fresh and practically free. Bottled water comes in a plastic bottle from hundreds or thousands of miles away and they charge me about the same as if it was cola. The waste of fuel involved in distributing it in trucks, the waste of plastic in the bottles and the waste of money. Now pull yourself together

My passport's crap, I keep getting arrested in China for having a fake passport, and the British Embassy have to get in touch and explain that its a real passport, its just they fall apart really easily. I'm willing to pay money for a 10-year passport, but I expect it to last ten years. This works both ways, I want my money's worth. If I need an ID card to travel, to open a bank account and use any government service then so be it, I'll pay, but if for any reason my ID card stops working and these services are withheld, I'm going to sue.
