hoi. i am 18 years old (since yesterday:clown: ) and want to start playing piano. i am playing some parts of coldplay songs for 2 month. i watched these "how to play..." videos on youtube. anyway...now i want to start playing seriously, so that i can read notes. what to do now? i do not want to have a teacher, because at the moment i do not have much time and all that pressure, that would be too much stress now. does anyone know wether books oder dvd's exist, with which you can learn playing piano? and am i still able to learn it at my age? ( i do not want to become a superstar, just want to play coldplay songs) and do these books or dvd's really work? thank you

at first i want to say that coldplays charity projects are great as you can also see in this forum. but i would like to know, wether coldplay is donating a lot of money too... i mean they are certainly making a lot of money, they could probably donate over 50% from their money and still have a very very good life standard. it would be a little confusing when chris is always trying to make us to give money, but does not do that himself. because there are a lot of people out there who do so. if they would give a 30% of their money, instead of always talking and talking about these things, they could really change the world. so: how much does coldplay donate from their money?

i heard chris describing "god put a smile upon my face" as a coldplay song which is a bit more heavier.if that is what he understands as heavy, that would be ok for me. gpasumf is a very good song in my eyes. (jep and i hope better than x&y)

Well...Does anyone of you what "Politik" means? I couldn't find it in a dictionary. Does it mean politic/wise?

i can understand him, cause honestly one year ago i also dind't like coldplay too much. But then i began really listening to the music and started liking. Now for me Coldplay is Music + friend with best advices, which always cheers me up. And Coldplay songs are not necessarily depressing. The most lyrics built me up (Everythings Not Lost, Fix You, Spies (when you listen till the end), and so on)

If any thread like this already exists, so please post here, so that we can close it. So here's the question: What do you think which Coldplay song has the best lyrics? If you want to you can also write your intertpretation and why you think that these lyrics are the best....that would be interesting i think. anyway; for me its The Scientist. Because i can identifiy with the lyrics very well. From the logic and science to love. From "easy question", which you can answer with logic, to the difficult ones your heart asks. These questions and problems are much more difficult because you often don't get the answer, doesn't matter how much you think about it. Sometimes this thinking even makes it worse. In Science this won't happen to you. But on the other hand you love is so beautiful to ignore it and take the easy way. As he says question of science do not speak as loud as my heart. Of course you dont have to write so much. maybe i was just looking for a way to tell you what i think about the song.
