A little something I wrote last year. So incredibly cheesy, but that's how I felt then: 'Waiting' Silence. I didn’t say a word. Even your gentle, dainty eyes blaze through me. What were you thinking? You didn’t say anything either. All I see is a bashful smile, hidden behind flushed cheeks. Weren’t you going to say something? Your words stuck in the throat, aching to be bursted out. Funny I say, It’s the exact same feeling I am cursed with now. Emotions flutter inside, heart accelerating, beat so steady and rhythmic. I feel the sting in my face, burning a deeper carnation tint. Can you see me melt inside? How my soul can barely contain the truth within. I want to scream it, so loud it would be eternal sound. But I all I can do is turn away, ashamed of the skeptic in my mind, and the certainty in my heart.
