Yes the book is absolutely fantastic!! Much better than the movie, though I did like the movie. :)

The Catcher In The Rye by JD Salinger Omg I don't think I've ever read a book that made me laugh so much! The style of writing and the voice...God I laughed out loud a lot while reading, and my mom looked at me weird.
