Ok I shouldn't talk...since I have been to more than my share of concerts, and am very very VERY lucky that I can somehow afford to travel to see Coldplay...but being originally from Latin America and still having family over there, I can totally understand and side with the LatinAm fans in this case. They totally have a right to still complain, because two whole continents--Central&South America--getting 7shows is still not enough! I'm sure they could do 100 and still someone would say they couldn't get to them, but 7? Come on. :\ Also, people who say "just go travel to the closest country to see them," like it's no big deal, have NO IDEA the costs, and the type of economies of LatinAm countries. And the DISTANCES between countries--it's not Europe ffs.:rolleyes: When you say oh I live in X part of US and would fly to NY/LA, even if you're a student with a part-time, it's something that's doable. In Argentina, for example, 1 dollar = 3pesos apprx. but flights are charged in dollars, while jobs pay in pesos(and poorly).:dozey: So a $300 flight is actually 900pesos.:angry: I'm sorry I'm probably not explaining myself well. But it's frustrating for me to see people complaining about Latin Americans voicing their concerns and frustrations with lack of tour dates and expenses, when they have no idea what it is really like. And to think that people in Latin Am are not as big fans of Coldplay as anyone else, it's actually backwards, 'cause I think fans from countries that don't get to see big bands often(or at all) are actually even more passionate about them, and appreciate that ONE opportunity they might have to see their favorite band so much more that maybe someone who can just drive half hr and see that band multiple times in one year.[\rant]
