Speed of Sound is a song that delievers the message to take risks and life and to take advantage of all the beautiful chances you get to do something amazing. "Every chance that you get is a chance you seize" "If you never try then you'll never know" The most important line in this song is "If you could see it then you'd understand" and the reason why it's so important is because so many people take for granted the simple yet astonishingly complex way that life is, and in that line, Chris expresses that if you could only see life the way he sees it, with its endless possiblities then you'd understand how unbelievable and how wonderful it really is.

For some reason I don't see "Closer" fitting at all on The Man Who, but it does lead me to believe that their next album is going to push their music to a slighty unfamilar place just because of the sounds they have in this song. I don't think it really sounds like a typical Travis song. Which I must say is catching my interest souly because I'm excited to see what they'll create this time around.

i saw the video and laughed at it a lot, the song its self is cute, cheery and pleasant, but i'm hoping that on their 5th album they try something completely different, something they've never done before, because I know what they can do as a band, and i really want to see them go a different route.. i'm not sure which route, but something that'll make that album stand out on its own that is all for now.
