Th question I ask is not only why would Coldplay does this, but would Brian Eno?? Remember this guy was in the studio with them constantly. He's one of the most well known rock producers. you think he HE would let something like this go? I doubt it.

The song is ok. I'm actually pretty disappointed in it

I LOVE the strings. That is the best part for me especially on the escapist. Don't get me wrong the production isnt crazy but there are certain times like in chinese sleep chant( my least fav track) that it gets too much

Does anyone else feel that on some songs the production is just way too strong? I love what Eno has done but I feel on a lot of songs that the band and him have so much going on musically that it gets a little overwhelming for me. I love the album, it is by far my favorite next to AROBTH, but I wish that would have toned down the production a little bit.

Why can't more bands be like the beatles and release two albums every year?

I agree with the reviewer on this one. Martins lyrics don't really link together well and they never did except in parachutes I think. Thats why chris refuses to print his lyrics. If they want to compare to U2, they better get better on the lyrics front cause Bono is one the great rock writers.

I think the reverse loop effect that buckland uses is what makes the song. IMO

leaked tracks I am seeing all these threads about some tracks that are not yet released, 42, etc. where can I find those tracks? I know this thread is probably really annoying but I have to hear them!:D

oh without a doubt. I think its interesting too, that when U2 was making Achtung Baby they were experimenting and inspired by a lot of hip-hop. Bono said how much he was into african-american music. so they experiment with a lot of hip-hop and beats and such. now with coldplay they get inspired by latin music. kinda interesting. kinda goes along with what moshepop said, which was a great post my man. great analysis! :cool:

Being a huge coldplay fan as well as a huge U2 fan, I got to thinkin. With all the buzz about how different this new album is with its sound could this do for the band what achtung baby did for U2? Could this be the album that completely reinvents the way people think of coldplay? I don't know, its just a thought. I hope so. P.S. I really hope all of you guys and gals have listened to Achtung baby to get what I am talking about. If you have not listened to it, do it. its a classic album. you will not be disappointed.:D
