Equal rights are fine when equal rights work, but they don't, take the oppressed british white man right now....unable to fly his flag, get a house, get a job...where are his equal rights? The above was purely a hypothetical arguement designed to make you think before you jump on me as racist or part of the BNP. :)

That is true about the segregation...it isn't a melting pot, it becomes a little country in a town...look what happened in Burnley and Leeds and Oldham a few years ago...because there was no integration....race riots :(

http://www.erylmcnallymep.org.uk/asylum_seekers_in_the_uk.htm#Facts%20and%20figures ^^ Interesting link to read 51,000 registered asylum seekers...sure...but "Estimates of illegal workers in the UK (people who have entered the country but have not sought asylum) are usually put at between 500,000 (the government) and 1 million (Immigration Service Union)" blimey thats a lot bigger percentage. Also "Estimates suggest that the Home Office loses touch with thousands of failed asylum seekers each year and that only a quarter to a third of failed seekers are removed." Both quotes come from the above web page...

LOL Hicksy better not read this thread :) OK immigrants.... 1st point, this is England, a country full of English people, you want to seek asylum in this country, you learn the language, you learnt the culture, you adapt. We don't adapt to you. Take the US, people who seek nationalisation in US must pledge allegiance to the flag, be able to speak english/spanish (two main languages) If they were to try that here, it would be deemed racist, nationalistic. But it makes sense, you see those Iraqi's killed at a railway crossing because they couldnt speak english and so didn't see the signs? Second, all this political correctness crap about things like not flying St George's flags unless for special occasions, incase it intimidates or portrays a nationalistic viewpoint to those from other countries....wtf? This is England, it's OUR flag, we should have the right to fly it wherever we want. Ever go to the USA? There are Stars and stripes EVERYWHERE! We pander to the minorities far too often in this country, incase it upsets them. That's wrong. It leads to a lot of frustrated people. 3rd. the soft touch the UK is to asylum seekers...they come in, they get a house given to them to live in...they then sublet this house to other asylum seekers, thus making a tidy profit and driving around in a Merc...wtf?? How many UK nationals are on the housing list right now, but can't get one due to there not being any available, yet asylum seekers get them pretty much straight away. 4th. Many refugees come from the middle east...this means they cross through at least 3 or 4 1st world countries where they could claim asylum, Italy, Spain, France, etc...but do they stay there? No they get shipped through because those countries don't want to deal with them and the asylum seekers know themselves it will be easier to stay in the UK. We become the last point of call, place of no return, and we are lumbered with them. I'm sorry, but this a country with 60 million people, a country that fits into Texas like 10 times or something...yet we have 1/5th the population of the US in a small country...do the maths, we're filling up. I'm not saying don't take immigrants, because everyone should be safe from torture...but there needs to be a quota per year, and there needs to be a way to test the validity of the cases far quicker than they can now. Too many ppl are just coming in for an easy ride. Europe needs to do more and take their share, instead of letting them just run through up to us. /rant over.

what went on while i was away?
thats like inflammable, and flammable both mean it will ignite easy HOW CONFUSING IS THAT?!?!?!? insane and sane are opposites, so whay can't inflammatory and flammatory :( Oh and why do ppl in the US drive on parkways, yet park on driveways???

Fate
OMG that happens to me too, so many times... The most freaky was when i was about 15, for no reason whatsoever, I began to sing Footstep on the dancefloor...then at halftime in the football game I was listening to, the very same song came over the tannoy...I thought wow weird...so went to scholl next day, and as talking to my mate about it, but I couldnt remember the song :( Then about 30 minutes later, he began to sing it too...too freaky... :stunned: I don't want to believe in fate, I don't want to believe anything is pre determined, that means there are no choices in life...that we aren't free, or independant with our actions.... Personally I believe in parallel universes, for every action, an opposite reaction occurs somewhere else, thus every eventuality has an outcome, but it is totally free choice. (Ever see Jet Li the one?) Say for example you're leaving the house, but you remember you forgot something, you decide to go back and get it. Now while your walking, you see an accident right where you would have crossed 5 minutes earlier, that could've been you...and in some parallel universe...it was...this is why I reckon we shiver occasionally for no reason, you know when someone says "Someones walked over your grave?" Because someone somewhere in another time and place just did, and you feel it pass through too you. Anyway thats my theory :)
