[17-Dec-2011] Coldplay @ Ahoy, Rotterdam, Netherlands
I thought the crowd yesterday was amazing. It reminded me of images I have seen of a Beatles concert in the Netherlands, with all those screaming girls. My ears are still ringing. What coldplay does, they do great. Great energy, great sound, great to see. However, I'm really disappointed with the fact that they only played for 85 minutes, same as at the festivals. The set list hasn't really made any significant change since the festivals, apart from Paradise being played instead of Life is for living. They never add songs, they change songs. And what I really don't understand is that they haven't played Christmas Lights. If not now...., when.

Setlist European tour
I sicerely hope that THE setlist will be extended a bit, or it will be my last coldplay concert. Definitely hope christmas lights will be added. Would also love to see a comeback of Sparks.

[22-July-2011] iTunes Festival, Roundhouse, London, UK
I just think that it's a real shame that every time you watch a Coldplay show, you know exactly what you are getting. I'm also a big Crowded House fan (don't know if this makes any of you nauseous, sincerely hope not) and they always do different stuff. You can even throw paper planes with your requests to them, and they always find time to fit them into the setlist. This might sound more harsh they I intend it to, but Coldplay doesn't show they are great musicians. They are great artists and performers, but "lack"the ability to surprise. Their is a great recording of them during their AROBTTH period (I think) where they play "spies". This shows how exceptional they are. (one night in paris recording).

Don't remember who posted the Twitter message with : thinking about the setlist.... But I can say that they could have put a little bit more effort into the thinking part. Apart from Moving to Mars (which is great), everything stayed the same. I really don't understand that. They have got an amazing catalogue of great songs to pick from and yet they always pick the same. Still, I was moving like an idiot on the Ikea "ladder"I use as a chair. There perfomance is great, their songs are fantastic, but it would be nice to see some change one in a while.

10-Sep-2009: Goffertpark, Nijmegen - Tickets, Previews, Meetups, Reviews, Setlists, Photos/Videos
Well, I'm still exhausted from yesterdays traffic. It was very frustrating getting in and out of Nijmegen. I don't think Nijmegen is able to host events like this. Apart from that. Loved the concert. The crowd seemed to be a bit lame, as said before, like Chris, it took some time to get into the concert. Chris was really relaxed, knows what he's doing, even when he makes mistakes in front of 60,000 people. Absolutely fantastic. The setting was amazing I think, loved the fireworks, but not as much as I loved Lovers in Japan with al the butterflies flying around. Do think it sounds better in Ahoy, bass is louder than, but it's just amazing to be at a concert like this. They were excellent and energetic.

02-Aug-08: Hartford - Tickets, Preview, Meetups, Review/Photos [originally 03-Jul]
I can understand people complaining about the length of Coldplay concerts. They tend to be quite short. But the level of energy they put in their shows, compensates for the length, in my opinion.
