@ juli: cuma loe yg ngerti perasaan gw (halah! :D) tentang Viva La Vida... mungkin buat Coldplay dilema juga. kalo mempertahankan musik 'asli' dibilang nggak berkembang... kalo eksplorasi, bereksperimen dgn sound lain, dikecam penggemar ... :thinking: :\ tapi kayaknya lebih banyak yg suka daripada yg nggak eniwe, lagunya emang enak2 masuk ke kuping :)

^ ya biasalah... kalo fans yang suka Coldplay krn musik british-nya pasti berharap Coldplay mempertahankan sound itu sepanjang karir mereka. jadi kalo mereka nambah2in instrumen dan sound yg bukan british (Spanish ato entah apa lagi), kayaknya musik mereka 'ternoda' aku n temenku dengerin sekilas album baru ini langsung komentar "Ini pasti gara2 Gwyneth!:angry:" :rolleyes:

@ RICK8, shipoffools, chillinrevev wow, thanks for the list! :thumbsup: which one of them is math-prog bands? if i know or like any math-prog band, my progger friend will salute me :smug: I know few of your list: Porcupine Tree (Steven Wilson is genius, don't you think?), Riverside and Oceansize. i'll check out the rest ;) @ mc_squared what do you think of Arena? this band sounds like Fish-era Marillion. i listen to their -probably- best album, 'the visitor'. it's a great album ... i don't listen that much to Genesis... don't know why i don't like them. to me, Yes is better. i even like the 'Drama', an album without Jon Anderson... i think Muse has prog element in their music. but my progger friends laugh at me for saying it :veryangry:

me too. i like old stuff (ELP, Rush, Pink Floyd and of course, Yes!) and current bands (DT, Symphony X, Spock's Beard, Ayreon, Porcupine Tree) and is exploring new horizon :) anyone has recommendation for current prog bands? symphonic, math, prog-metal, neo-prog, or any kind of prog?

hey... i'm also a DT fan! i even join DT fansclub in my country. i like progressive rock better than i like british rock. :love: if you like DT for their technicality, listen to Train of Thought. i don't listen much to their older albums, but they seem at better substance than the newer ones. songs in Awake, Images and Words albums are less cheesy than, let's say, Systematic Chaos (the latest album) :thumbsup:

gw dah dikasih mp3 semua lagu di album Viva La Vida ama Bang Martin sendiri heheheh... enak2 sih lagunya... tapi kok nggak terasa british ya? rasanya jadi rada 'terkhianati' gitu...

hi... i'm a fan of prog rock... a kind of newbie for progger :) yes rush pink floyd dream theater porcupine tree ELP well, don't know much more than that... coz i think it takes lots of time to really listen to them :) any recommendation to listen ?
