  1. check the e-zine archive at coldplay.com, his complete pedal list is there
  2. Vintage Fender Jazzmaster - I've never seen Jonny play a Jazzmaster, certainly not live, and the only picture of Jon and his Jazzmaster is printed in the AROBTTH booklet Reissue Fender jaguar - He plays the Jaguar on Shiver and most of the times on Yellow too Vintage Fend thinline Tele - Virtually every song on AROBTTH, for example Politks, AROBTTH, Clocks etc. and older songs like Don't Panic and Everything's not lost Japanese tele (the blue one) - I believe it's only used for Trouble, it is probably tuned different Gibson 335 - Live for lead guitar in Green Eyes, and I believe the studio version of In My Place also features the 335, it sounds that way I think. Rick 12 string - Daylight, Chris uses it in One I Love Further, Jon plays a '72 Custom Tele live in See You Soon and some other songs, and Chris uses a special Telecaster, I forgot it's name, with a Strat neck, live for Don't Panic
  3. K's Choice - Not An Addict Guns 'n Roses - Sweet Child of Mine Led Zeppelin - Stairway To Heaven Coldplay - Shiver & Yellow U2 - With Or Without You RHCP - Scar Tissue Eric Clapton - Badge and so on.....
  4. Still I like the two oldies "see you soon" and "careful where you stand". especially the wailing end Johnny which does live is very cool to play if you have 2 guitar players....one takes the acoustic, the other does the wailing with a slide and a little bit of distortion. and while playing a gig, yellow sure does the job :)
  5. no preferences, altough I like see you soon most, i think.....it's difficult to pick one when you can play both albums in full :-D
  6. I'm in various bands...I've got a band with which I've got a few gigs in autumn, we play rock covers, and at school I play my guitar in two different groups, one with me playing guitar, a friend piano and a girl singing (we tried trouble and the scientist and it turned out to be quite good, we were rehearsing when people started entering the room and came listening) and the other with me, a bass player and a drummer, as a background band. Occasionally we combine these two bands, pretty fun either.
  7. I own 4 guitars....a relative cheap yamaha nylonstring classic, worth about $250, a very good Castilla 40P (classic, "ebbenhouten" fretboard), a worthless Squier strat and a very fine Epiphone Les Paul...ideal for rock playing... but the best guitars I've ever played and intend to buy are Telecasters (69 thinline or 72 custom) and Gibson jazz/blues guitars (ES 175 and 335)
  8. The telecaster sounds sharper, clearer than a strat. If I were you I'd buy a Squier or a Fender telecaster (72' custom and thinline are really good tele's).
