Hmmm, Georgia has Altlanta and that may be why... There are still small towns in Georgia where they wont allow blacks and whites to go to the prom together... Can be a very backwords place. Homophobia and Racism are PLAGUES(sp) to me! If Obama wins the election, I hope it will do alot to change peoples perceptions. LOL! No its not gay (in the homosexual sence or the its other meanings). There are more gay folks in other places for sure. This is part of whats called "The Bible Belt" so, Im sure there are many men that surpress their sexuality due to religion. I however, am not one of those people. I am comfortable in my own skin so to speak. South Carolina is however, full of kind people that would give the shirt off their backs for anyone in need. Unfortunately Walhalla is a very small town and there isnt alot of places to shop or radio stations that play the music I like. Thank God for the internet. I lived in the city of Chicago for 10 years in my late teens and 20's so Im not immune to city life either. I like the country side and LOVE the mountains and waterfalls. Nature is better than tall buildings and cement anyday.

yep I was born in Iowa and have lived in 5 states in the US. I moved to SC about 3 years ago... Walhalla is right at the tip of the Appalachian Mtns. in the foothills. Great weather here. very short winters!!!! Lots of places to fish, hike and camp.
