  1. Can't believe Myxamatosis is out... 2+2=5 for me.
  2. Good post. I agree completely with every part of it. Just one more thing: Radiohead triumphs over Pink Floyd in good original musical and lyrical content.
  3. Stand up, Sit down. Scatterbrain is eliminated? Man, that's harsh. I know the music isn't that special, but I can't imagine the song has any less meaning than seven-eight other tracks on the album. (If There There, Myxamatosis, I will, or Wolf at the Door doesn't win, this poll is a hoax.)
  4. Is anyone a little disappointed the new LP is supposedly only going to have nine tracks on it? I mean, I understand some songs don't fit with certain groups of songs, but...I don't imagine I will remember them by this album with just nine tracks on it. I'm the type who loves longer albums, especially if I imagine a story being told, because, like when reading an incredible book, you do not want it to end. Forty-two minutes? Ehh....
  5. When I was about ten I heard Yellow on the radio and saw the video for it. At that point it didn't really strike me as much anything worth keeping in mind. ( I was a dumb ten year old, come on!) After In My place, the Scientist, and Clocks came out, I had just been bombarded with songs that were far different from my typical tastes (at the time it was hip-hop), but really struck me as wonderful music. I was planning on buying Rush, but never did ( constant procrastination). However, once X & Y came out, and after hearing a Coldplay song on the radio for the first time in maybe two years, I remembered that I had wanted to buy Rush years back. Finally, I bought it for my sister for Christmas, listened to it very soon, and was blown away: it was the best album I had heard up to that point. Once my sister listened to it she also loved it, and she, maybe two-three months later, purchased Parachutes. That was a bit of a disappointing album, because hearing Rush beforehand really raised my standards. Then for my birthday a couple years ago my sister bought X & Y for me. I suppose that's it.

The thread was "Rate the offensiveness", and that seemed to be a winner.
  7. No. Are you currently robbing a bank?
  8. You're a bitch.
  9. Oh my goodness. This is rather astonishing. It's beyond me how ANY nation's resources could be so unplentiful. Unfortunately, African climate makes it very hard to cultivate and prosper in the long-term. And when you can't even prosper in the short-term, clearly things are horrible. They will never get out of this hole unless they literally sell themselves to a more powerful nation.
  10. Radiohead Queens of the Stone Age Coldplay U2 Screaming Trees
  11. Way better than Floyd, in my opinion. Radiohead has more interesting ideas than they do. Plus, is it safe to say their music has much more emotional impact? Best band of all time.
  12. Clocks, while getting out of the shower.
