  1. :dozey: ...you really must miss him.
  2. I agree... I actually really enjoyed No Line a lot. That's true... U2 have so much more experience and accomplishments. Never actually been a fan of Pride :inquisitive: I wouldn't call TKOL a masterpiece by any means
  3. I actually think I like your cover more than theirs
  4. Okay... then I apologize if I seemed harsh with what I said. I can understand why you or anyone else is excited for these new albums and songs. I remember how I've felt the same way for many bands over the years. I guess my whole point is that I feel some people think they have to force themselves to like everything by a band to be considered a true fan which is BS. Or basically that people mindlessly love everything that a band releases without properly listening. For example... when Radiohead's album TKOL came out I was massively disappointed by it. But even though I'm a huge fan I didn't give the album or songs a like 10/10 rating just because they're one of my favorite bands.
  5. take me down to the paradise city, where the grass is green and the girls are pretty...
  6. I agree. I just don't see why certain people in general feel you have to love everything an artist does, and clearly many people have taken huge offense to what other members of this forum have said about the direction of the band. I know that this is a generalization but I'm sure a lot of people really love the direction of the band and songs like Teardrop because they are more familiar with the more mainstream pop direction of the bands last few efforts and probably got into the band within the last few years. I'm sure that I as well as a lot of other members have been listening to the band a lot longer than others (not saying that that makes me or anyone else more of a fan though).
  7. Honestly that is one of the dumbest things I've ever heard. Definitely something a fanboy/girl would say. Honestly... if Coldplay was to release an album of random noises or farting or burping would you honestly as you point "support everything they do and you love it from the deep of your heart"? Just because someone doesn't like a certain era of music doesn't mean they aren't a fan. I consider myself a fan of the band even though I really don't like their last few albums or the direction they've gone in. I completely agree. There are so many bands I love, but there is not one band and never will be one where they'll release material that I completely always love.
  8. oh I didn't read about that. hmm... I wonder if they'll be in NY or just a webcast. If they're in NY I need to meet the band! :awesome:
  9. hmm I didn't know that. I thought it was usually only two songs. I'd love to see them play Feral or The Daily Mail
  10. New DAS post of the next remix (though the player hasn't loaded yet) http://www.radiohead.com/deadairspace/
  11. I wonder what 2 songs they'll play. I imagine Lotus Flower for sure, but the other one?
  12. or another possible theory now that I think of it is that Miley Cyrus has taken over the vocals for the band and the title is a big hint towards this new artist duet.
  13. Thread of the year here
  14. I really should get tickets :awesome:
  15. or the next beatles maybe? don't forget radiohead ;)
  16. There was a comment I read that some music writer called this album their Sgt. Pepper, so you have to take that into consideration for this thread.
  17. The album artwork and title was released. So I as well as everyone else is judging it. Are we all just supposed to mindlessly follow and like everything the band does? Or have people not state their opinion if they dislike something?
  18. sweet! maybe this means a NY show? :D *tries not to get too excited*
  19. really like the new song!
  20. oh yeah because clearly I spend all of my time in the Coldplay section because there's no other band to listen to  I wasn't commenting even on the songs. I actually enjoy Moving To Mars a lot (one of their best sounding and written songs since AROBTTH IMO), and MX/Hurts Like Heaven is good. I was commenting on how I don't like the cover art and the title is stupid. But of course clearly Coldplay can't do anything wrong so no need for further discussion... yeah pretty much.
  21. well clearly you don't know anything about me. Coldplay used to be my favorite band back in 2005, but since then have just been a big ball of disappointment and embarrassment.
  22. it means Miley Cyrus in egyptian
  23. never ceases to disappoint... AND they kept the teardrop artwork Miley Cyrus or however you pronounce it is a pretty bad name, and honestly what the hell does it even mean?
