  1. The other day I thought I saw a missing sign for 2 Husky dogs :|
  2. I didn't feel it. I'm actually kind of disappointed because I sort of want to experience what an earthquake is like You felt what it was like for 9/11? Were you in the WTC? but you guys got 'gators!
  3. Hmm maybe that's why since I was at ground level
  4. I didn't feel a thing at all. I was at work. My brother and one of my friends said that they felt things shake.
  5. I'll be streaming this album first, but definitely not preordering it or anything like that
  6. I agree. I don't think that life can be perfect. Because if it was perfect what would really be the point to continue if you've accomplished everything or have no regrets at all? I think that someone's life can be at high points where it seems perfect but it's never really perfect ever. And to be honest I wouldn't want a perfect life... I guess it doesn't give a challenge to things.
  7. Clearly biased fans here to give the album a 9.1-10. I mean if Pitchfork hasn't given the band anything higher than a like 6.9... why would you think they'd give it a 10. Many times I feel a lot of people just give the ratings they think the album will be to them. In general bands/artists that get a nearly 10 rating is rare, and it's not something that is or should be given out lightly.
  8. I think some people might have "lucky numbers", however I feel a lot of the time the reason is that if you realize or think a number is lucky of course you're going to notice when it happens more often than other numbers, which just reinforces your original thought.
  9. The Blair Witch Project-8/10. I thought it was really scary, because although you never actually really see anything it's your imagination that makes the movie powerful.
  10. http://www.npr.org/blogs/therecord/2011/08/22/139859886/songwriter-jerry-leiber-has-died?sc=tw&cc=tmp One of the most important songwriters for the 20th century... what a huge loss to the music world! :(
  11. I think it sounds like a cool idea!
  12. that is true. :| same could be said for me and :wacky: :|
  13. pretty much this :| though at the cost of never joining I wouldn't have ever got a chance to know or be friends with all you great people here, which would be a shame.
  14. bump... they did a short 3 song set on NPR (For 12, Other Statues, & Dustbowl III) http://www.npr.org/2011/08/18/139645912/other-lives-tiny-desk-concert?sc=tw&cc=twmp
  15. me too! :awesome:
  16. [ame= ] [/ame] Or an Atoms for Peace release. I think that's in the works. [ame= ] [/ame] ^this version is great though
  17. I like Dylan (though not as much as I used to). Seen Dylan live... worst concert ever.... honestly I couldn't understand a fucking word he was singing  :|
  18. yeah pretty much you won't be disappointed
  19. The two main artists are: Bruce Springsteen and Jimi Hendrix (like some songs, but never got into his music)
  20. Pretty much why briggins said. I consider them to be mainstream in the sense they are a well known and talked about band. But not mainstream in terms of radio play. I think the main reason is because the bends, ok computer and creep were extremely popular for the band overall, and definitely more accessible to listen to. But I guess also since they are innovators they are always talked about too
  21. I'll throw you a softball question... What is the meaning of life? :|
