The importance of Moving to Mars
To be honest I love the song. I think it's one of the my favorite songs by them, which I know what may be a bit of an over statement considering how new the song is. I'd even go as far to say it's my favorite song by them since AROBTTH. I think that the overall arrangement and sound of the song is sort of the direction I wish Coldplay would write songs, and not try to be over the top. I think it's a really well arranged and written song. I don't really know thematically how it fits with their other songs though being I've only listened to the other new songs like once or twice (except MX/Hurts Like Heaven). Still it's a great song, and I wish they would write/record more songs like it.

2011 Albums Worth Listening To
my favorite albums list of this year is so short. There haven't been many albums that have really made a big impact

Capitalism in crisis, a warning from history
I agree. I've felt this way for a while. Yes it would be nice to make some money and live comfortably, but when is it enough? You have people in this country and around the world struggling to make ends meet while these CEO's are still bringing in record profits. It doesn't make sense, and doesn't seem fair. I'm not saying that if you're successful that you should have to make the playing ground equal and give up all you've earned, but at the same time can't they give sympathy and help out those in less need by not getting that extra million dollar bonus? I've always felt in general that if you are rich it's nice, but if you have no one to share your success with then it is pointless. The rich should be taxed more, and the middle class should get more help (as mentioned how it is the middle class that is always buying). In general it just sucks for the middle class. The rich don't have to worry about expenses and the poor get help from the government.

What score will Pitchfork give Coldplay?
The one thing I don't get is how on earth they could give VLV a higher rating than both Parachutes and AROBTTH

What score will Pitchfork give Coldplay?
I think pitchfork is a great music source. I like it a lot more than Rolling Stone. Do I think all of their reviews make sense? No... but then again no matter what music website there is there will always be ratings you don't agree with or bands they typically don't like.

What score will Pitchfork give Coldplay?
I just wanted to say there's no hard feelings between me and the fanboys/girls over my comments in my disappointment of the band.

Hey Coldplay, this is your Joshua Tree moment, don't mess it up.
Briggins isn't the kind of person to kid or joke around.

What score will Pitchfork give Coldplay?

what do you do when you hate your life and want to die
Pretty much what everyone else has mentioned but I guess the most important thing to keep in mind is that even if things are tough for a while things will eventually get better and you just to work your way through it.

Radiohead
Lost Angeles is a piece of artwork that Stanley is working on that's supposed to be like the Eraser artwork but with LA in it's place. Apparently some people believe that it might be an indication towards an Atoms for Peace album release or artwork oh wow... hard to believe it's been that long

Hey Coldplay, this is your Joshua Tree moment, don't mess it up.
Oh yeah clearly I don't know what I'm talking about... I've just only listened to the band and read and watched documentaries about them almost all my life. I have books that have the Beatles recording sessions in detail and Come Together had the whole band. Also just listening to the songs you can just tell by the tone and style of the instruments who is playing what. Paul is definitely playing bass because Lennon's bass playing was never that complex. If you've listened to the band long enough you can tell who is playing what and Paul is playing bass and George guitar and Ringo drums. I don't know where you heard that info from, but I bet McCartney was talking about how he wished there was more input from him on the song, since he was clearly playing instruments on the song. Also you are wrong because at that time they decided to work together to make a final release which was Abbey Road. They decided to put all issues aside and work together for one last time. Yes in the past they recorded songs individually but not Abbey Road. I brought up those McCartney solo albums because I was pointing out how he was the most talented member of the band, since you were saying how all the members were extremely talented overall. I was merely pointing out how he was the most talented member of the band and how the other members were mediocre in relation. Yes a lot of string compositions were done by George Martin, but McCartney had a lot of input and composition within various pieces throughout his career, and I'm talking beyond The Beatles career. By the end of The Beatles he tried to have pretty much all creative control. Maybe you should do more research next time.

Radiohead
yeah The Ziggurat used to be for HTTT. And the site was active up until recently. I thought that tickets cost like $60-80 around here from what I remember
