Closing in on 50 listens, and still loving it :) My dad is seriously Anti-Coldplay, and he said it was great that I was listening to it so much cos he reckons I will be totally sick of it within 2 weeks and won't want to listen to Coldplay ever again. I beg to differ. :)

Wow, for two days after the release that isn't half bad, although I think a couple of the notes might be wrong. It's lovely but I do prefer the full instrumental thing :) Can't wait until the piano book comes out for VLV. That's one of the most exciting things about a new Coldplay album :D:D

Errr considering I don't dislike any Coldplay songs... 1. Speed of Sound. I don't know why. Maybe a little overplayed. 2. A Whisper. Just nothing special. 3. Pour Me. Just... not great... 4. Crest of Waves. I don't know whether it's cos I downloaded it from a dodgy site but it's kind of fuzzy :confused: 5. Bigger Stronger. I don't think the lyrics are great. Ooo I feel like I've blasphemed now :(

Oooooo the Drowned in Sound review made me soooo mad!! "most of ‘Violet Hill’ is as earnestly heroic as you’d expect from Coldplay, (“I wanna be a soldier who a captain on some sinking ship would stow far below/if you love me, won’t you let me know?”)." I'd finished writing a big reply about how it was actually I DON'T wanna be a soldier and how therefore the whole argument in the article was obselete, and then realised I had to sign up to the website which I wasn't going to do. So I thought I'd release my annoyance on here instead :laugh3: "Martin’s desire to be a martyr is let down by the lack of a tangible cause and as such his band’s new single sounds too suffocated and self-absorbed."
