I remember the moment I became a coldplay fan. I was watching the 2003 Grammy's and they performed Politik. I had heard of Coldplay before but I had never really given them a chance. In the performance, it looked like Will was using his head as a drumstick and Chris was going to break his piano bench. They also had a string orchestra behind them. I had never seen that kind of passion presented on stage before.

It's funny that you bring this up because I definitely hear Arcade Fire influences everytime I hear this song. But I agree with Voodoo_Geisha, I hear Power Out. Especially when the edgier guitar kicks in when Chris sings "They are turning my head out." Regardless, it's still an excellent song.
First of all, don't hate on "A Whisper" That really is a great song, if you give it a chance.
I didn't like Chinese Sleep Chant at first, but it's really grown on me.
