That link has to do with the other claymation video by Miles K. The winning one is by Paul O'brien. I've (of course) thought about the fact that his video may have been made before hand but then there are a load of possibilities: -maybe he has started the video and saw this as a good opportunity to finish it -perhaps he already had the models made and then decided to piece everything together -and other reasons... the point is, it'd be unfair for me to make any kind of assumption

The competition was looking for the best fan made video, so I don't think based on that, that the videos were limited to being made on a 'shoestring budget.' Personally, I think that they could have approached this competition much better by having different age groups, pro/amateur and all of that. But I think their intentions were to make this an open, organic competition in that the only stipulation was that it had to be an original video (and that the best one would be chosen). I also do not think that the winning video (or even the one that came in second place) had the best narratives, but then again it wasn't up to me to decide who won. Even so, some videos are more visual than narrative, and can be equally as great so what sort of value do you place on each and what should decide the winning video? My gripe is that people are getting upset at the winners when they could actually be real fans. And it's been said that the video was made before the competition- but by who? Mostly (I suppose) just people speculating.

ladies (and gents), I just wanna say that I appreciate this thread so much. When I'm on here, the first thing I do is check if there are new posts to this thread! Guy has always been the one that did it for me haha, even back in the crazy days of high school when I did my French project on them and told the class that Guy was really good looking haha. and all of my friends thought I was crazy back then but every time I mention him now, its always "oohh, thats the bassist right? he's hot" So they now see the light!

wow, lots of angry ppl. pinata_smasher: have you considered that it isn't politics? that they perhaps genuinely liked the winning video (which they prolly did, seeing as they chose it). The video was sweet and even if the person who made it is a professional, it doesn't mean he put any less effort into it as anyone else did, he prolly put more considering all the little details that are in it. also, those who think the winning vid sucks must be watching a different video than me. But honestly, a lot of the videos ppl have posted in this thread (mine included) are not that great (of course, I've seen some wonderful ones too). I think I've honestly seen about 8/10 of the entries online and 7.5/10 of them were/are pretty bad.

hey guys! so this thread was initially started by some rando spammer and they deleted their post so since i was the only person who replied (saying the thread should be close), and since i can't seem to delete my own post...here's my question: What song have you enjoyed the most live? I personally loved when they sang Ring of Fire back during the twisted logic tour. I think the acoustic set worked really well as well as the stage set up with the lightbulbs. It felt really intimate even though they were playing to a packed house.

has anyone checked out some of the new entries? there are some really good ones. i had to eat a slice of cake to console myself after watching some of the newer ones, mostly because i put so much effort into mine and now i feel like my video isnt so great =( but i will post it soon anyway because after all of that work, someone other than myself and my family are gonna watch it! haha

ughh i know what you mean. i've spent hours upon hours on my video and i still have about another minute to do and then likely, lots of editing. but i'm hoping to finish after this weekend and then i'm going to post it and focus on school...so that my tuition doesn't go to waste haha. its fun to see what other people have come up with though, i think i'm addicted to checking youtube for lost video entries. its horrible!

kinet, you were right in front of me, i was in C15 seat 10 or 11. I was going to move up to C14 after a bunch of ppl cleared the row to move up but I liked the open space. I REALLY wanted them to play a set on the stage closest to C but alas, it did not happen =(

ahh, I am so sad that they didn't play Glass of Water, and that the encore was just yellow. I really, really wanted Don't Panic, but I think the set list was much longer than I thought it was anyway haha. Overall, it was a great concert. Chris was dancing all over the place, and it was nice that everyone sang along to Fix You. I didn't take many pictures because I did too much of that the last time they came and ended up missing lots of songs! But i did snatch some decent Jonny pics! I leave you with one: its a bit grainy, i apologize!

awww i'm so jealous =( this morning i went to go get my tickets from scotiabank place and instead of seeing coldplay, i saw the entire senators team as they were leaving practice and heading to their cars. unfortunately, i don't care about hockey.

concert is today!! usually i sleep in until 12 on Mondays since I don't have class.... but not today! ahhh so excited. gonna go pick up my tickets in a few hours too. =) should i make a sign? what should i write?

well, i've gotten into a james blunt afterparty once where i actually got to mingle and have drinks with blunt and the band with a little help from my friends. i happen to have attractive female friends who have just been offered passes to go to the afterparty of certain concerts when they were on the floor (and really, its just mingling and chatting before they leave for their next gig). usually its from a sound guy, or some other roadie who knows what's happening after. if your not on the floor, you're kinda outta luck cuz the guys who work the upper stage are obviously just ushers or ppl who work for the venues. you could try asking one of the roadies bout whats happening after and if they don't know, then at least you tried? i suspect coldplay wont be having an afterparty where they're just bringing random ppl from the audience to go to- but who knows. ot: but at the james blunt afterparty women were throwing themselves shamelessly (and by shamelessly i mean i was embarrassed for us women) at james and he was having none of it haha. i was with my ex-bf at the time so i def was not one of them!

yeah, so i used my presale code and got row 15 sec C which I'm really glad i used because the best i could get was row 18 today. i don't understand where all of the other rows go. it is like they disappear into the air when the tickets go onsale haha. ah well, i'm pretty happy with my tickets. also, i think the presale was handled very well because all presale tickets can only be picked up express (at scotiabank on the day of the concert) and I suppose this must help to ensure or at least help them from being sold or scalped (i called in to try and change the delivery method so that i could go pick them up sports experts).
