  1. 13-14 songs, all within 2-3 mins long, would be excellent and vastly preferable to an album full of droning 5min+ songs (e.g. X&Y). And yeah, Coldplay were normally excellent with b-sides (there's tons for the first three albums!), but they were extremely disappointing for the Viva singles - only 3. I guess most of the potential b-sides did end up on Prospekt's March EP, but they still had songs left over that they could easily have used, even if the CD single is dead these days. I am hoping they go back to how they used to be, and spoil us rotten with b-sides!
  2. Glass Of Water -6 42 10 Strawberry Swing 13 The Hardest Part/Postcards From Far Away +16 Viva La Vida 16 Death Will Never Conquer 11 Fix You 12 Death And All His Friends 7
  3. they already officially released live LIT (and live Lost!) as b-sides, so I'm not too fussed about their non-appearance on this live album
  4. I'm sure Will was planned to sing the song live (which never materialized), while Chris took care of the studio version, exactly like DWNC. Simple as.
  5. The Glass of Water widget thing that let us preview the EP tracks referred to PM as simply "Prospekt's March", no mention of the Poppyfields part. And the supposed Poppyfields instrumental at the end wasn't part of the preview. This counts towards the two being separate songs. And yeah, that image above is a photoshop job of all the song titles mentioned in Prospekt's journal together, was never a tracklist of any sort.
  6. err, no, you've misunderstood. we only found out NMFWTTG has nothing to do with SS when it was announced as part of the EP's tracklist. Before that, everyone assumed it was just an early title for Strawberry Swing, exactly like people are now assuming Leftrightleftrightleft = Prospekt's March while the former title remains unreleased. Where did you get this from? but Prospekt's March lyrically doesn't exactly have much to do with marching either does it? lulz. And The Goldrush does, yet that's not Prospekt's March! This is all rather tenuous
  7. no evidence at all that it's Prospekt's March. we made the same supposition with NMFWTTG and look how stunned we all were when we found out it actually has zilch to do with Strawberry Swing! The Goldrush's lyrics also mention both Prospekt and marching, yet it's nothing to do with Prospekt's March. I still believe Leftrightleftrightleft is it's own song. Whether it gets released or not is another story altogether...it has indeed completely dropped off the face of the earth, not even present on the big song list in the tripleM interview mentioned here... :stunned:
  8. :P I'm just hoping it's true tho!
  9. uh why does everybody keep complaining that the EP is 'too short'? do you not understand what an EP is?? :\ It's almost an LP as it is, with 8 tracks... I give it 8.5/10. Lost+ and LiJ are unnecessary but do contribute to the EP's listening experience as a whole.
  10. Someone has added a new tracklist to the Lovers in Japan wiki page, saying that The Dubliners will be the B-side! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lovers_in_Japan Taking it with a pinch of salt for now tho...
  11. I'd say from now on that LiT1 samples from The Escapist, rather than the other way round, and that LiT1 is a sort of intermediate between two songs that are completely separate in their own right (LiT2 and Escapist).
  12. Yeah, it sez "Poppy Fields" on the VLV booklet painting and the alternate tracklisting and it obviously got changed to one word before being released.
  13. So these lyrics aren't anywhere on Prospekt's March EP...I'm now more interested than ever! Lhuna perhaps?
  14. yeah I guess Poppyfields is another teeny lil instrumental interlude thing just like Postcards
