Underrated Coldplay Songs
Fix You gets a lot of bashing on this forum, probably because it was once overrated by many, but I really enjoy it, and I think it's one of my favourite Coldplay songs.

Do NOT lead into Temptation!
Well, the only song I've heard from the new album is Violet Hill, and I'm going to keep it that way until VLVODAAHF is sitting in my CD Player. I've made no attempt to listen to Viva La Vida, and along with that, I've also decided to listen to absolutely no Coldplay until I hear the new album. It's tough, but hopefully it'll be worth it, and I'll feel refreshed when I hear the new album, not alienated.

Not Impressed with Violet Hill video
At first I didn't really like it either, but it's really grown on me, just like the song, and, just like the song, while it appears low budget, it's more of a very grungy, rugged video which I feel has a very unique feel. Everything looks tired, everyone looks tired, the wind blows at their ankles and it all goes at a great pace with the clips being thrown around rapidly. The quirky humour I feel is also welcome. The only thing I didn't enjoy greatly was the ending with Chris walking through the snow. While it was quite cool, and roughly amusing, I don't think it flowed well with the soft music. The fireworks in the politicians version was amazing, in my opinion.

Lyric crossing
Ah, yes, of course. Forgot about that one.:)

Coldplay/Hugh Laurie
Yeah absolutely. The same thing happened to me when I was watching House the other day. I think it's more than just the hair and beard - they have similar facial features.

Lyric crossing
Hi everyone. I know this isn't a very major one, but the use of "bones" in both choruses of Fix You and Yellow is a general reference that I picked up on. Nothing to write home about though, I know.:smug2:
