The emails were only sent out today!! I've just messaged this joker to let him know what I think of him.

  4. I take it all these people who have applied on this thread with country tags like Poland, Netherland, Australia will be able to get to this gig if they won right? Glad they're doing the whole 48 hour thing to confirm. Also hoping that people aren't going to just accept the tickets anyway without actually knowing if they can make it or not :(
  5. Is this person seriously going to fly all the way over from Italy, at this late notice, for a Coldplay concert only likely to last an hour?? I think not... As I said before, Brixton will only be 3/4 full...
  6. Ok guys, I've done a little research on this company... The WhoIS domain search on this site comes back to GoDaddy.com where the site was registered which is the same site that ColdplayWorldTour.com and their apparant partner site are also registered (http://www.thefootballticketshop.com). TheFootballTicketShop.com are actually run by a now defunct company called "Hertsboxoffice". Search Hertsboxoffice in google and read their not-so glittering reviews. :( http://www.tickettout.org/voting-comments.aspx?cid=5&cn=HertsBoxOffice My bet is that they were ordered to close down before and have simply restarted their company back up under a new name. These ticket agencies do it all the time. Sorry to say it dude but I wouldn't be too hopeful :( Hope you didn't spend too much!
  7. From the BBC website, taken from the Coldplay Live at the BBC ticketing page: "Proof of age and identity will be required. You must be available to come to the event in mid June. Successful applicants will be given the date. Tickets will be allocated randomly." "If you cannot be contacted the BBC reserves the right to offer the ticket to the person whose name is next drawn at random." It was initally stated that this would be a first come, first serve ticketing ballot on the Coldplaying.com forum... however, when the tickets eventually went live on the BBC site they had stated that the tickets would be drawn randomally. http://shows.external.bbc.co.uk/help/shows/coldplay_2008 Also, I am 99% certain the BBC will call you at this late notice. They don't want empty seats on any of their shows so this will be the only way they can ensure this doesn't happen. For popular BBC shows (like this) they will over ticket for the event, therefore actually getting into the BBC really WILL be a first come, first serve entrance policy, even if you get put on the guestlist... Remember people, nothing in this world is free... you all have to work for this! Good luck.

Definately. You can easily get lost in the upper tiers...
  9. Reign of Love is a great song I agree... however I can't agree on LIJ. It's alright... nothing special though. 42 and CSC are tops IMO.
  10. I managed to order two 15 minutes after they went online, but even though it was stated on the Coldplaying site that they would be first come, first serve, the BBC website stated instead that they would be allocated at random. Basically, if you got a confirmation email then you have just as much chance as everyone else of winning, however there are only a handful of tickets available so the odds of winning these are probably the equivilent of getting three numbers coming up on the lottery. Possible, but extremely unlikely. Good luck to everyone anyway on this... as far as I'm aware they will call you if you have won instead of sending out emails so make sure you're sitting by your phones at all times as they have said on the website that if they can't get in contact with you they'll call another randomally selected entrant instead.
  11. The whole album isn't Irish sounding, just two of the track have parts that remind me of it... and yes I do think it's pretty weird for Coldplay, mainly the reason why I don't like it. Cummon... just because it's got Coldplays name credited on each track doesn't mean you have to love it. They could pump out some drum and bass and most people here would probably love it... I love Coldplay for the music, NOT the name. I like Coldplay for what I know them to be when they played stuff like Shiver, See You Soon, Don't Panic, Trouble, etc. so when they change their style no wonder why some people don't like it. Yes some tracks will probably grow better on me but I think I've already identified those, like Strawberry Swing and Life In Technicolor... but I don't think I'm ever going to grow into a track that sounds like Status Quo!
  12. This is a thread to run side-by-side with the Brixton thread. I managed to register my interest for 2 tickets, however the reply email I got was that I wasn't guaranteed the tickets and I'd have to wait for confirmation. I reckon a few thousand at least applied in the hour or so that the ticketing window was opened so not looking to promising for those here who did apply. Any news yet about this anyone? 13. And also these Brixton tickets have been advertised for compo's elsewhere outside of the Coldplay.com compo so there's even less chance of winning than you think!
  14. Lol not an Irish hater... more like an Irish MUSIC hater... DAAHF is TOTALLY Stat Quo... when the beat comes in I just cringe, ruins the song completely. If they play that in concert, everyones going to be dancing like their Dads! Ps. Edited Strawberry Swing and Reign of Love... can't believe I wrote that... haha!
  15. Oh and also, I know that loads of people have been unfair and have signed up to the compo using loads of different email addresses. What if they win more than a pair of tickets? They've probably either used fake names as well (in that case they won't get in anyway because of the guestlist) or won't get in because they'll have too many tix in their possession as you can only bring one guest (I think)). Seriously guys, Brixton will only be 3/4 full... :veryangry:
  16. As long as you confirmed your email address in that email they sent out a week after you should be fine?? (I would have thought so anyway). Let's be honest... if emails were already sent out we would have heard about it by now...
  17. Maybe they're letting people know so late to avoid tickets appearing on ebay?
  18. Well think about it... if loads of people outside the UK (and possibly even people in the UK) have applied for tickets but now can't go because they can't make travel arrangements this late, it's not like they can give up their tickets... nor can the organisers reallocate tickets so close to the event date. I think the place will only be 3/4 full...
  19. dfective replied to rlj1010's topic in Coldplay Live
As I said before on another thread... floor seating went to those who booked tickets directly at the arena. Caused problems as all the touts found out about this and they're more than likely the people you'll see on ebay now flogging them off... Ticketmaster, SeeTickets, etc. got everything else. There is no real system for giving out tickets, its all very haphazard so you really do have to be just at the right place at the right time... it's all a complete lottery. I know how you all feel though, I've had this done to me so many times before where I've had to pick up seats in the clouds as that was all that was left, only to find out a week later the top seats go back on sale.
  20. I just don't get it... keep reading so many posts from people saying that their new album is so much better than X&Y... I think these people need to get their back catalogue out again and remind themselves of the tracks on the album. White Shadows, Low, Swallowed in the Sea, Speed of Sound, Talk, Square One, What If... all amazing. Really all the tracks on the album are amazing! From their new album (which I've cained to death by the way) I have only really found myself liking Yes! (Chinese Sleep Chant), 42, Reign of Love and Violet Hill. The others just don't really stand out in my head. Whilst working today I started humming Strawberry Swing, but I don't find it amazing... maybe it's a grower. I've just found their new album slow and in many places, quite cheesy. DAAHF reminds me of Status Quo, the breakbeat on lost is awful and should be removed, LIJ is like some Irish folk jig and VLV reminds me of some dodgy Clannad / Enya track... Anyone else agree??
  21. I'm not that hopeful anyway... there's probably about 10,000 people abroad who have all applied for tickets that won't be able to make it anyway. They'll be a lot of empty space at the concert me thinks...
  22. Absolutely love this song, all it needs is more vocals and to be a bit longer and I'll be in heaven! Jonnys solo is amazing, just keep repeating that bit over and over. Might make my own extended version.
  23. Nothing for me either. It's a Coldplay conspiracy I tell thee!!! :sneaky:
  24. Hi

dfective posted a topic in New Members
Hey all, I'm 24, from Essex in the UK... been into Coldplay since Parachutes. Favourite Coldplay songs are probably Low, White Shadows and Don't Panic. Going to the O2 gig in December this year which I'm dead chuffed about as I have Row A, Block A1 tickets! :P Hopefully getting tickets as well for the BBC and Brixton gigs... *fingers crossed*. I was at Crystal Palace and the Earls Court gigs so the O2 will be my third time... Anyway, hello again... looking forward to the Coldplay banter. ;) Laters!
  25. I just want to back up what this guy just said here. Block A1 tickets went on sale to people who visited the O2... the other areas went on sale to Ticketmaster, SeeTickets, etc. So in future for O2 events it's definately worth getting down there in person on a sale date.
