It was a great show. my only complaint is that the techno God Put a Smile and Talk, are terrible and kill the momentum of the show...but the production is a brilliant overall.

What do you think about the running time of "Viva La Vida" tour concerts???
When changing 1 song a night is "more than ever before" thats extremely sad

I love this excuse..as if coldplay is the only band who plays consecutive nights, puts their heart into it, etc. They are the weakest of the supposed "big" bands around...shortest shows, no expansion of setlist, no surprises ever. There is zero spontaneity in their performances, its textbook show to show

Viva La Vida Tour - Disapointing Set Lists
anyone who questions anything coldplay does gets met with this answer, i get coldplay can do no wrong for some of you people, i love the band, they are great live, i just think mixing shows up a bit is a good thing, not just interchanging 1-2 songs a night..but thats my opinion..clearly 99% of this board thinks coldplay is perfect in all facets...thats cool too.

Viva La Vida Tour - Disapointing Set Lists
or they can just play more songs and lose one of the opening acts. or come onstage before 915

Viva La Vida Tour - Disapointing Set Lists

I still dont get why they completely disregard parachutes...it pisses me off a bit

The Viva La Vida tour statistics
same 16-17songs everynight, and interchange 2 different ones:
-
19-Jul-08: Las Vegas - Tickets, Preview, Meetups, Review/Photos
dont go overboard..they are switching 2 songs a night at most.
-
18-Jul-08: San Jose - Tickets, Preview, Meetups, Review/Photos [ORIGINAL DATE 7/24]
if theyd just hit the stage 10-15min earlier rather than dick around they wouldnt have to exclude songs on their fucking setlist.

[Grande] 14-Jul-08: Forum, Inglewood, CA - Tickets, Preview, Meetups, Review/Photos
sure, but they are shorting their fans by not playing enough songs

[Grande] 14-Jul-08: Forum, Inglewood, CA - Tickets, Preview, Meetups, Review/Photos
yea..coldplay songs are great, but its pretty ridiculous to only be playing roughly 18full songs for $100+ a ticket. Its time for Coldplay to step it up and play u2, pearl jam, radiohead type Headlining setlists, 25songs.

20songs, eh...lame. especially since 1 of them is a short instrumental opening the show.
-
Your Ultimate Coldplay Setlist
Once again, i hope im proved wrong when tour starts, but 20songs at $120 a ticket is thievery
-

seems like 90% of the close seats werent even released to sell, they are all in the "bid on premium coldplay tickets" section. Ticket companies scalping the tickets themselves should be illegal

We, the undersigned, object to the UK tour "no fans' pre-sale", "no standing" policy!
Oasis isnt a major headliner anymore.

Lack of a fanclub presale + $100(not including TM charges) tickets = even MORE expensive ticketmaster auction starting prices. Its all ridiculous really, and this is a band who plays the shortest setlists of any Major touring headliner.
