and I just opened the last edition of my school's e-newsletter to see a picture of me graduating right in the middle. surprise :uhoh:

wow, you guys have all had a very different school experience from me :stunned: 1) people don't vandalize the school, since it's a certified historical building... we know we're not allowed to ruin anything. people scratch names and stuff into desks, but everything else is off-limits. 2) people don't fight! how frequently do fights happen at your school?! :uhoh: we don't have a cafeteria, but I know people don't go at it during lunch... but we DEFINITELY have drugs. we're known as "the drug school" :rolleyes: my first week of my first year there, a kid was expelled for selling pot and I was like :o because I was only 12 :P

yeah, I did make the connection there :lol: although to be fair, John Pertwee was what, 15 years older than Matt Smith is? and there were no women ogling the 3rd Doctor when he ran out in his towel... I dunno, they're just very different scenes :shrug: but it just feels a lot more "in your face" than it did with RTD. The clothes they put Amy in every week, some of the lines, and now this week... it feels very forced. I think Moffat is trying to mature the show in a way that it doesn't need- it already appeals to all ages, he doesn't need to mess with it.

thanks :) yeah, my school is actually my favorite place on earth (no exaggeration), so I was really a mess. I had an entire box of tissues for the ceremony :uhoh: thanks! thanks! haha yeah, I think I was the biggest mess out of everyone in my grade. as soon as the ceremony ended I burst out hysterically sobbing, and I haven't really stopped since then :P thanks :) this graduation is high school (the last year before going to university), but you have a graduation after you finish university too.

okay, I've figured out one of the things that's been bugging me about series 5. they're trying to force some mature element of sexuality into the whole thing that just doesn't belong there. yes, David Tennant was the hottest Doctor ever and he's just... :bomb:, but they didn't try to put that out there in the show. they never had the Doctor run out of the bathroom in just a towel, while a girl comments that he's gorgeous. I mean- what the hell?! come on, Doctor Who. yes I'm a teenage girl... but this isn't cool. Russell T Davies had it right, he knew that it was a family show, and didn't try to make it into something that it wasn't.

I graduated from high school yesterday. ps- I'm half-crying in the picture, hence the weird look on my face :P
