  1. Enjoying MX at full volume today....As we soooooooooooooar waaaaaaaaalls, every siren is a symphony and every tear is a waterfall, is a waterfall! :mx::mx::mx::mx::mx::mx:
  2. It would have been a Beyoncé song :) To me probably nothing will ever beat the weirdness of a title that is "Ode to Deodorant" LOL
  3. What are your settings? The default I think is trending based on location and who you follow. So its also tailored to you.
  4. Poor Another´s Arms...heavily underrated. :phu::phu: :guitarist: All your friends (I agree with the boys here...its a b-side song)
  5. Oh this interview looks sooo good! Cant wait to read it in full! :D Martin once presented a song to Beyoncé called "Hook Up" and played it in the studio for her and producer Stargate. She turned it down, he says, "in the sweetest possible way: She told me, 'I really like you – but this is awful.'" Hmm If "Formation" is wonderful, I can see why anything Chris Martin would have offered her might have been awful *LOL*
  6. I was not nervous at all...I don't know why but I knew for a fact that they would perform great, cuz they are so professional in all their live shows. When the show started though I found it very emotionally involving! That was unexpected :)
  7. What is up with my body clock?? I travelled to the USA three times now, so been through 6 changes in time zones. All 5 times up til now I adjusted very quickly within a few days no problem....This time my body just doesn't seem to want to accepts its in Denmark LOL Despite the fact I successfully got into the new time zone a few days after arrival, woke up at a decent time and all...then after a few days boom it goes back to 4 am, then I take it back on track and after a few days its back again! Grrrr So now Im up at 4 am...again, not knowing why! LOL My theory is that Im subconsciously missing the palms so much that my brain refuses to settle into european time LOL
  8. So what does that prove? That AHFOD had bad promotion in the USA or that people would buy anything that is sold to them through an extremely popular program like the Super Bowl? hehe I think they did good promo in the USA with all the appearances but its also true that the few places which still sell records were really not promoting this that much...Adele had taken over. I guess we must all be thankful Adele is not the kind of music that cud ever "grace" the halftime show haha
  9. 4 am musings result in long posts LOL It may be due to my years studying and being interested in physics, but I honestly don't call anything at all "batshit crazy" when it comes to theories about anything. I simply look at it and make up my mind between yes, no or i don't know/not enough evidence hehe I can see why people would call some things "crazy" offhand because we all grow up in a society where there are certain unspoken rules about how "things are" and to some extent we are told, directly or indirectly, what we should assume is possible/likely and what is not, also things we never see or hear will naturally seem very unlikely/far out. Many things we take for granted now, like technology, would have sounded like voodoo batshit crazy not so many decades ago hehe Physics has this peculiar characteristic (science has it in general but physics to an extreme I think) that it doesn't look at something from a perspective of likely, not likely, intuitive or counterintuitive. It simply looks at it objectively from the facts and it finds some very surprising conclusions about things for example we absolutely take for granted on daily basis, like time may not exist after all, there may exist as many as 10 dimensions or there may exist parallel universes! :) So if you tell me there is a group of very rich extravagant people who want to control the world and impose upon it their own satanistic beliefs on or to remodel society, Im thinking sure its possible. Beliefs are very strong and have controlled many a people in position of power in the past and people in position of power obviously have the resources to control the media and influence the public discourse. Also if you were these people and wanted to be sure never to be found, you´d spread the idea that these things are "batshit crazy theories"...that would be a perfect strategy cuz even if few were on the right track no one would believe them or even bother to research it. It would be an effective strategy you would not even need to police people, ordinary people would do the "policing" for you. Brilliant LOL I do like musing about things from different perspectives, playing devil´s advocate, turning things upside down and look at them from all angles :) I think its always enriching to question, question mightily, assume as little as possible :) Apropos regarding looking things from different perspectives, this is one of my favorite movie scenes ever ! :)
  10. Some of them could be "optical illusions", some of them are so blatant, like the naked woman in the background but I wud also say the phallic palace LOL Some were certainly having some "fun" behind the scenes...nothing strange about it imo. Its very tempting being "sneaky" haha
  11. Yeah its Google search and/or websites tracking your activities. Im not sure you can opt out of the tracking? I have not used Google as my search engine in a year now and Im not seeing those ads anymore...good riddance! These days you have to opt out of crap you are automatically opted in from the beginning often without even knowing it LOL Like my phone tracked me in so many ways as default: I had to actively tell it to stop it (sometimes repeatedly ) ! Ditto with Google and its obsessive "your location" crap....grrrrr.
  12. I think you can opt for them to personalised or not? Haha not sure but I once tried to remove them altogether (silly me I thought I had that option lol) but instead I was offered the fantastic choice of non-personalised or personalised ads. Wow such delight LOL
  13. I only quickly browsed a few articles....Little Mermaid: The Phallic Palace for example LOL Some designers seem to have had some fun sneaking some stuff in there. It seems some of it was confirmed and Disney recalled VHS as well and made changes because of it. (for example the Bernard and Bianca one) http://www.ultimatetop10s.com/top-10-subliminal-messages-in-disney-animations/
  14. Of course but Im speaking in the context of him between Beyonce and Bruno Mars. Damn between those two you´d better be extra aggressive and "arrogant"t if you want your face to be closer to the camera, or you won't have a chance! And indeed he didnt have a chance, while the other two plastered their faces to the camera *LOOOL*
  15. Just saw the poll at the post of this site LOL I´d say I would not answer yes or no actually. What Im thinking is the entertainment industry is for sure filled with a lot of money, so there is certainly a lot of interests and power behind it. Also from what I´ve seen people in high position of power are often "not right in their head" as well hehe Doing all sort of weird stuff what do I know...so could some of these people for some reason believe in satan and want to promote that agenda? Sure why not...Christians, muslims exist all over the world in the past the Church promoted their beliefs in all sort of ways, so why not satan worshippers trying to sneak in some of their beliefs in some popular videos (like walt disney designers with the infamous sex messages LOL)? I have no idea...this is definitely not out of the realm of possibility, so Ill say my stance is I don't know , who knows :) By the way this thread always reminds of the X-Files haha I cant wait for the next episode tomorrow :D
  16. Chris could never do that though. He doesn't have that aggressive "look at me" attitude a lot of these performers put up in pop. (and thank God for that!). A good confident performer is nice to watch, but I personally don't see whats entertaining or necessary in them being that "arrogant", like "look at me Im the best" or "I slay better than anyone else" etc....Beyonce actually puts it on "forcefully" either because she thinks its expected of her or because she thinks it makes a great performance I don't know, but if you see her in interviews she´s actually quite a sweet down to earth woman. And you know what? This is probably precisely why Coldplay have always been ridiculed or disliked by some, because they don't fit this mold. I say good riddance for those who don't like them and may Coldplay always continue to be this way! :)
  17. I did not notice the pullover I must admit ! haha But I confess that when Chris sang the Uptown Funk for a a minute or so with the other two, him in the middle there...he looked like a proper fish out of water and it wasnt his clothes...he just did not fit in imo. However when they all sang Up&Up it was more cohesive, so I guess there is something to Chris not "having it" when he tries to do some things like those. That was my impression anyway, that he himself was not too comfortable with it either, though he certainly wanted to. I just cant generally imagine ever Chris singing something like "girls saying hallelujah uptown funk gonna give it to you" keeping a straight face, can you imagine that? LOL Its just not him....
  18. Thanks for posting the videos! :) I watched a few Super Bowl shows, but not these two (saw Bruce Springsteen though). There is a difference there yes. I read this on an article on some british newspaper I think. They explained how the Super Bowl always had "flashy" artists with big pop mashups shows up until Janet Jackson, then there was the "scandal" about her performance and so they decided to tone it down for a while and thats when all these other non-pop artists got invited like Paul, U2,etc. Then in later years they picked up the "pop" style again. So I guess that explains why some Super Bowl shows are so different? I agree with you though that Coldplay do not fit in in that "style" of show. I wish they had done completely their own thing and had more time. This certainly proves that Coldplay is not pop act, even though they incorporate some elements in their music.
  19. *LOL* See? They had a chance to "train" these people´s ears to what a melody is and instead...."cursed missed opportunities" :)
  20. I did not notice anything particularly bad with Chris voice, but I´d say that firstly Chris doesn't move around he HOPS around (and jumps pretty high too lol) and that has no doubt an impact on how much air you get in your lungs hehe, while Beyonce and Bruno dance but their moves are relatively short and quick (also they are younger LOL). I agree they might have been using other equipment as well. The cutting songs is common at the Super Bowl. I saw it with a lot of other shows. Some transitions were quite nice like clocks/fix you, some a bit more jarring, but I think the songs still shined through imo. And Coldplay could not do this alone. It was pretty clear from the beginning that they were "told" to invite other guests because it was the 50th anniversary and they wanted to celebrate other artists as well...so they really had no choice there. :/ No comparison on sound during the Super Bowl vs sound during the gig. In the Super Bowl they need to set it all up in a few minutes, its a logistic nightmare, so its hard to get it all right. In the proper gigs, its a very well oiled machine :D
  21. Oh they surely would say that! haha The crowd at Glastonbury is diametrically opposite to the crowd at the Super Bowl. Glastonbury has been traditionally associated with "non-pop" music for years, so even having the likes of Jay-Z guesting in the beginning was met with a lot of criticism.
  22. Make very little sense to me :) First because if anyone has the "first pick" at promoting a single clearly it would be the headliners. And also because Chris clearly stated they would not play it because it "would not be right". So clearly they had the impression that it would be wrong apparently to use this occasion to promote something. But then Beyonce does it, so its very odd. And they very easily could have promoted both Hymn and her new song. One doesn't exclude the other: people can go and download both :) It remains a mystery to me....
  23. That one guy talking about very sick people in the industry...I´m inclined to believe that. We have seen people in position of power who are on drugs, parties or whatnot and do all sort of stuff which then stay hidden behind the scene and they find a way to bury because they have influence. Also I was highly surprised to see Roseanne speaking of MK Ultra program (brainwashing). I was like, what?
  24. Thats a noble intention and I wanna join! But I think it will take a looooot more than just "showing them the true side of music" haha Its unfortunately a malady of our modern world, where everything is fast and consumerism. No wonder so many suffer from ADD...we get so many inputs all the time its crazy! The media of course reinforces this, so its all connected. I agree we need to change our brain or else future generations will truly be completely unable to appreciate anything beyond the super simple, basic and fast!
  25. Your comment got me thinking and I think I agree with you! But more than trying to please everyone I think they were trying to follow their own "idea" that all music can be easily mashed together and its all wonderful. haha Everyone should of course be free to include any element from any genre in any song, but its also clear to me that there is a point where songs will naturally diverge because of their genre and thats ok too! Its not "music discrimination" hehe As you rightly noted if you try to cram everything together it will indeed lose focus and be "watered down". I agree
