[21-Sept-2011] Coldplay @ Much Music, Toronto
It's crazy. I kept refreshing the page from 10 minutes left, and at 6 minutes the link opened up. I don't know if there was a problem with the countdown, or they released it earlier on purpose. That's why tics probably went so quickly. What time are you guys gonna go down at? I wanna be front row!!

Every Teardrop Is A Waterfall (OUT THIS FRI(ROW)/SAT (UK)!!) - [Walking Man and Videos + GIFs + Scre
Love the part when Chris sings "And we sawwwwww oh this liiiiiiigght" . That just sounds like amazing, brilliant coldplay. Very feel-good song to it. Granted the lyrics don't sound like regular Coldplay, but they're just abstract, Chris has said how much tougher he has become on himself in terms of the lyrics since recording vlv. Been listening to the song like crazy on repeat, gets better every time!

I agree with people who think that the cover art looks weird, and 80ish and very unlike Coldplay, but let's be honest, for viva la vida, they had those french revolutionary outfits. I doubt they would make a trance, or dance album, they are their toughest critics, and know that that isn't them. We'll all be obsessed with the song come Friday! Such exciting news! I wonder if they'll wear their new outfits to the festivals

Agreed!!!! I can't wait!! I just hope they release the single soon, and don't say they're going to release it in a month or whatever.

Let's be honest, I'm sure we would all be saying wtf over 10 years ago if there was speculation at the title of the album being called parachutes. Coldplay would not let us down, I'm sure the album and the single will be amazing, with a great name! And Strawberry Swing is amazing. Could be my favourite song from the album. It's unique in that it's such a feel good song. Coldplay do not really have some of those. Amazing to listen to on a summer day with the windows down!

Chris and Will on BBC Radio 1 This Week re: LP5 (Friday 7th January 2011 @ 7-10am GMT)
Just said they'll be on after 8! That's only 15 minutes! Hope I'm not getting excited for nothing!

Chris and Will on BBC Radio 1 This Week re: LP5 (Friday 7th January 2011 @ 7-10am GMT)
I definitely think that they are going to have a big announcement to make. The guys don't do radio shows for no reason, especially considering that they just did a radio show a month ago. Obviously I'm just speculating but I think they're going to announce an album date, I doubt that they would just speak about how far along they are. They were supposed to be done the album by now, and I don't think they would go on another tour to test material. They aren't a band who goes out on a tour to test new stuff, they usually just release the album.

Chris Martin & Jonny Buckland to premiere Christmas Lights on BBC Radio 1 and XFM tonight (1st Decem
Last big shot?!? He says this every time though, he said that when they were talking about Viva, and then Prospekt's March. Anyone notice the similar lines from Christmas lights and Wedding bells, "Poison in my blood", and "I always loved you (darling) and I always will".

Coldplay.com crashed when they released Violet Hill for free, hopefully they learned from it, and it won't crash today!

Ahhhh, didn't know that. But, in that same respect, they've never done something like this before when they have released christmas songs., so why is this any special? Especially releasing it on iTunes, maybe they are trying to get people hyped up on Coldplay again, because their album is supposed to come out early 2011.

Does anyone else think that this is something really big? Coldplay have never made a release of a christmas song a big deal, other than putting it on the website. Making this (what seems to be a) spectacular video, and going on radio shows, I have a feeling they're going to announce something else. Hopefully a tour, or a release date or something. Maybe just wishful thinking.

Yeah I was in the pit, it was pretty crazy, I never noticed how funny Johnny's face is when he was singing, he looks he's so serious and concentrating so hard. He played so well tonight, as did the rest of the band. Yeah that Viva chant is amazing, I was singing it all today.

Haha that was amazing, glad you enjoyed your first show, and welcome to coldplaying. Where'd you sit for the show? And yeah sucks they won't be back for a while, but let's hope they're just gonna be recording, and not take an actual break for a while.

Yeah I just think he was saying how fortunate they are and how much it means to them that they have amazing fans and could sell out arenas. They always say thanks for giving us the best job in the world type deal, but I don't think I've ever heard him say how important this day is for us as a band. Maybe it's because it's the first real stadium they've played in North America? I don't think they've ever played a venue this big in N.A. Supposedly 50,000 were there tonight. That's nuts! Sucks that it's already over...

The guys were amaaaaaaaaaazing tonight as always. The crowd has humongous, Chris said there were 50 thousand fans, and you could tell they were amazed by how loud we were tonight. They kept smiling to each other, and I think Chris even said something like "Shit, that's a lot of people." Setlist was the same as always, with Billie Jean and all. But, they did have a special birthday sing-a-long for Will. Even Phil, who we never see brought out the cake! All in all the boys never disapoint, and the crowd was unreal, amazing singing, and the mexican phone wave was great. And, one of the highlights of the night, before I left I got Johnny's setlist! A little sad that they said they won't be back for a few years, but it'll definitely be worth the wait, especially if they put out a new album sometime soon. Hope everyone had a great night tonight. Coldplay you are truly amazing.

This was in an interview with Johnny from last year right before the second Toronto show, "It depends where, really. We've been staying in Toronto, so we've seen a bit of that. I've actually been staying with some of my girlfriend's relatives outside Toronto, which has been really nice. It's nice not to be in a hotel."

I agree with you, but at the same time, no matter where anyone is on the floor (aka more than 3 rows back and even reserved seating on the floor) they will have people standing at eye level in front of them, so at least being in the pit you know you're really not that far away. And when you mean 50-75 people deep, how many people would you say were in the entire pit?

Yeah Guy said in an interview back in April, "Yeah, we've been trying to dust the cobwebs off here and there, because the idea is that for the bigger shows in the summer we'll play for a little bit longer. So we've been digging out some of the older songs which we haven't played for a while. That's actually been really good fun. We played Sparks today and we've been playing Rush Of Blood To The Head, Warning Sign and White Shadows. We're just building up the songbook, basically." I don't know if this is considered one of those stadium shows, or if he meant the European stadiums in September. I really hope they do add songs, and suprise us, but who knows. I do know that they love Toronto (even though they say it in every city, but I like to think they mean it here).

I reaaaaally think you should be fine. It'll prob be easier for both of you being at the back and not being crushed by everyone else. Plus if she's at the back she won't have to be looking up so much like she would have to the closer she is to the front. I really think you two will be alright, there are no bad areas in the pit, even the back of the pit is close. Last concert I was 11 rows back and that was where the catwalk ended, this concert according to seating map, the Pit goes a few rows past the catwalk, so you guys will still be close. I don't plan on going and lining up all day, I'm gonna show up maybe 7 ish, and hopefully find a good spot.

If they come on at 9:30 they'll probably be off at like 11. They're concerts usually last an hour and a half, I know they lasted that long last year. I'm sure you'll be able to buy stuff after the show, but they might not have all the merchandise they had at the beginning. My recommendation would be to buy whatever you want at the beginning of the concert. I don't think that they're going to be staying in a hotel here, they'll prob come in tomorrow, then leave right after the concert. In terms of standing in the GA area, I think anywhere in that pit will have a great view, from seeing the seating chart it looks like the furthest the pit goes back is like 15 rows. Plus the atmosphere of everyone in there will be nuts.
