  3. Our Social Studies teacher was showing the class photos that displayed nationalism, and what other photo does he show but Eugène Delacroix's 'Liberty Leading The People'!! It made my day. :)
  4. ^^^ =) Wow... :stunned: That's an excellent pic of Chris. :speechless:
  5. I love Chris's voice; I could listen to him forever. Although his voice has changed a bit for Viva la Vida, it's still great; it has only changed in style. In any case, he will always sound wonderful to me.

I'll have to say Parachutes (and in many ways, AROBTTH); their early music has particularly touched me. The raw feeling of love and melancholia that appears throughout these albums is (to me) the most compelling aspect of any Coldplay compositions. This mix of emotionality and simplicity, unfortunately, seems to have been lost in X&Y (granted, the emotionality is still hugely apparent, though lacking the 'classically' subdued and discordant melodies that came before it - therefor creating overall less of an emotive impact on the listener). But that's just how I see it. And I'm not trying to downplay X&Y, or ignore Viva la Vida, but they have not affected me quite in the way that Parachutes and AROBTTH have.
  7. This thread makes my day :)
