Oooh I want the Speed of Sound Mexican promo!! I think it's because I'm an artist, but I tend not to buy multiples of a release unless the cover is different (like the mexican SoS which is green on white for who-knows-what reason!) I know that I wouldn't care that much about the 2nd Lost! promo if it wasn't red instead of blue! :uhoh: I mean, I have 3 of the X&Y Tour DVD/CD box sets just because they come in different sleeves! :S Is that neurotic?!?

Today when I saw the Safety EP on eBay, I was thinking to myself, what would be the Ultimate Coldplay Souvenir... Say a few years down the road, after you've won the lottery and you hear about a celebrity auction that Coldplay has donated something to. What would you be most excited about? For me it would be the Viva bell. :nice:

I don't know about Coldplay but a friend of mine once said he wanted to open up a U2-themed ice cream shop and sell Sundae Bloody Sundaes. :D

I framed mine. :3 I was going to frame the 4 albums as part of my Wall of Coldplay but I actually take those with me in the car often enough and I can't see buying new ones just for the wall... so, so far all I have up there is What If. :nice: edit: Thanks to this discussion I just went to eBay uk and bought Strawberry Swing. :dance: (It will make me feel better about not being able to bid on Safety anymore.)

They've definitely been more common on eBay UK, and I only buy from sellers who list on eBay.com. I've let a few go that went for under $50, thinking that I'd hold off awhile for the price to drop, and now they only show up once or twice a month, so that was a mistake. If I don't have one by the end of the year it may be time to expand my search! I have two trouble promos but I'm pretty sure they're both US release... :uhoh:

That's my philosophy right now too. I'm concentrating on the red Lost! and Strawberry Swing (where the heck are the strawberry swing CDs hiding anyway? They're as rare as Mince Spies!) What are you missing?

Aw, I have absolutely no delusions about actually winning this thing. ;) If the seller was telling the truth about not knowing what it was work, they are going to be very surprised, I think, as the bids start to go up! I just hope its legit. I have been burned before. :(
