18-Sep-2009: Wembley Stadium, London - Tickets, Previews, Meetups, Reviews/Photos
Iwona and myself are also back at the hotel :) Transportation into London worked amazingly well, we were really surprised that it didn't take that long at all to get away from Wembley, given the amount of people heading to Wembley Park Tube station. Front row C-Stage, got my banner out which Iwona and Petra helped holding with me and when Chris entered the C-Stage he was looking closely to read it and we got another thumbs up. This is so great to be acknowledged ... :D Even my penfriend Paul who was standing behind me said completely surprised that Chris recognized me and the banner which really seemed to have impressed him :laugh3:

So are you here to lecture me?!?! :p I usually don't have BIG problems with it, but Jay-Z used it through his whole set and the spotlights were directed at the audience while Coldplay used them the other way round. And that was kind of pissing me off big time and it added on to the fact that I am absolutely no fan of him and his music ... ;) They turned them round when the stuff from Jay-Z was taken off stage ;) so that's not the big problem for me.

Well, the sign is some kind of running joke already, I guess ... :laugh3: It has been travelling all around Europe and the guys spotted it at different concerts so they probably start thinking that they are stalked by it ;) Anyway, it just says: Please please play the best bassline ... White Shadows!

I am so there with you. Honestly I do think that his part in Lost+ isn't that bad at all. It's something different. But having to bear with him as a support for around 50 mins was a really big challenge for me, esp. being first row. Plus I hate this strobe lightning (medical reason) which was constantly on. Bearing it in Politik is hard enough for me ;)

I am not entirely sure but it could be that I have some more. My spot yesterday was a lot better for taking Jonny pics, however I kind of concentrated on Guy & Chris for some strange reason :wink3: :D

I agree! The gap between first row and stage seemed so much bigger to me than at the Munich concert I have been to and where I ended up first row as well ... However, there was some kind of 'interaction' with people front row in Munich and also in Nijmegen and I am not only talking about me and the banner there but loads of people got winks, smiles or waves ... :) Of course I don't know for B-/C-stage. And surely I'm not going to a show and get front row to get a special recognition but as Tonsu did say, it wouldn't hurt ;) I am pretty sure that we only got Lost+ because the show was recorded for radio. And just speaking of it ... anyone going to record it and able to share it later?! I am not even able to listen to it, as I will be in London then ... Thanks! :)

Okay ... back at my current 'home' (R#42 would point out that you can't call a hotel home unless you've got WiFi, which I have :D ). What can I say?!!?!? Not much I'm afraid as I am still blown away. I guess it will take some time until everything has sunk in ... Two things I have to mention though! I 'only' showed up at Hampden Park at around 1.45 pm and just two dozen of people were there by then, spread on the different turnstiles. The second thing which stood out was the 'organisation' when getting people to the front of the stage. Running was not allowed, instead they gathered all the fans at some kind of police barrier tape and stewarts walked backwards with the barriertape and kind of 'escorted' everyone to the front. Only the last few meters was a bit of running. I was soooo happy about this, as I would have failed awfully in the long run and now I was even lucky enough to end up first row really center. People didn't sit down though so it was standing all the time but since the entry was delayed we only had to wait for another hour until the White Lies took the stage. Atmosphere was brilliant and people sang along. Jay-Z entered the stage shortly after 7 pm but honestly, he's definitely NOT my cup of tea. He will never grow on me ... however the audience went wild and loved it ... There was loads of pushing from behind and for a longer while there was this scottish lass standing behind me, smelling of beer ... yuk!!! :( I really had to defend my spot more than once which was a bit annoying but I reckon' that's how it is. Coldplay came on and everyone went nuts. I just loved it and hardly took photos even though I had such a good spot ;) Maybe it was just me, but it seemed that Chris was more concentrating on singing (probably because it was recorded for BBC radio) and not that much into 'interacting with the audience front row'? In any way, he spotted my banner during Violet Hill but didn't show any reaction. Later he looked again and had a big grin on his face and then looked up to me (probably to check if it was really me who was holding the banner ;) ). Of course Guy noticed it too and yes ... he had some time for a killersmile again ;) :bomb: :dead:  I will sooo miss it :( Shortly before VLV was about to start Chris interrupted and said someone had just pushed the wrong button and they had technical difficulties ... don't know what was wrong though ... Maybe R#42 is going to shed some light into this?! Yep ... and when Lost! was on, Jay-Z entered the stage to share it with Coldplay for his bit. The audience went completely crazy! No exaggeration!!! As for the C-Stage, Chris started with his Glaswegian Rhyming Song but left out the 'fu**ing' bit and filled it in with 'bollocks' and explained that he couldn't sing it on the radio ... ;) I was confused when he led over to Will, as C-Stage usuallly starts either with Green Eyes or Trouble. Now they started with Death Will Never Conquer and played Trouble afterwards. What really surprised me was how fast the show was over ... I never had this feeling before?! Maybe it was because of standing first row so close to the center?! A few pics are about to follow ...

Honestly I don't think I'll be tweeting much ... it's keeping me kind of distracted, so I'll probably only tweet if there's a change in the setlist or anything similar :\

:laugh3: The rest is history ... ;)

Okay folks, logging in from my hotel in Glasgow! :) Yesterday's show has been bloody amazing, everything around was more than perfect and Chris fucked up the beginning of THP as someone (a girl/woman) in the crowd yelled his name and he was really thrown off track by it and he was then joking that only his mum yelled at him like that ... everyone was laughing and cheering. He was in an absolutely chirpy mood despite his cold/throat problems. His singing voice was still great though but you could hear it when he was talking (which he did a lot). C-Stage was wonderful with Trouble and everyone singing along :) So when Billie Jean was on Chris changed a line and instead of singing 'She thinks that I am the one ...' he sang 'She thinks that Will is the one ...' which got everyone laughing. Loads of Chris/Will action to be seen on the huge screen ... a sight for sore eyes :) I was standing miles away from the stage and therefore hardly took any decent pics but I am going to upload some later on nevertheless. Oh and I kind of pumped into Phil and he remembered me from Nijmegen (and that I told him which concerts I was going to see) and he gave me a signed LRLRL CD :) When going out, I didn't get one and I just saw a few people having one CD so I don't know where they handed them out ...
