  1. Easy one for me. Lovers in Japan vs Sleeping Sun.
  2. Man in the Moon is an absolute BANGER but let's not kid ourselves - if it was on the album, the usual suspects would call it cheesy and too 80s sounding.
  3. Without a shadow of a doubt their best, most cohesive offering in 10 years. Maybe even 13 years. Maybe even...no, I won't say that yet. I need to sit with it for longer. But I'm extremely happy.
  4. I think All My Love is one of the best things they've ever recorded and such a fitting 'final single' if that's to be the case. One of their absolute best piano ballads with full-on McCartney esque piano and production flourishes to top it off. Something special IMO.
  5. Must've missed the memo where instrumentals aren't proper pieces of music. My bad. LP doesn't mean "10 songs where someone sings verses and a chorus" FYI.
  6. I'm really surprised by how experimental it is in many parts. And not just in the tracks that are overtly different (MOON MUSiC,🌈) but in the supposedly more classic songs as well - lots of really great flourishes. It embraces the kind of interesting sonic soundscape that I felt like MOTS promised but didn't really deliver. It feels like a proper album - something I'm more likely to listen to front to back, whereas MOTS is a bit of a pick and mix. The title track is stunning. JUPiTER really (pleasantly) surprised me.🌈 is gorgeous and spacey. AETERNA is an absolute banger. All My Love is classic Coldplay by way of McCartney. The end of One World made me very emotional. Maybe my favourite since MX? Kind of floored by it tbh. Oh also, the production is a thing of absolute beauty. You've gotta hand it to Max Martin on this one.
  7. Where? All I can find is slightly hazy cinema recordings.
  8. I cannot fathom how anyone can look at Coldplay right now, listen to the boys, and come to the conclusion that they're drifting apart. It's quite literally the opposite. They're happier and more content than ever.
  9. I'm a bit confused by what you're saying, given that he's been crystal clear they'll continue touring together as Coldplay and that they'll revisit their back catalogue, do compilations, unreleased stuff etc. Not sure how any of that links to entirely separate solo careers? I can see Chris collaborating with other artists on the side, sure. But he's done that already.
  10. NME interview with Chris and Moon Music review: https://www.nme.com/features/music-interviews/coldplay-chris-martin-exclusive-nme-interview-moon-music-3798496 https://www.nme.com/reviews/album/coldplay-moon-music-review-3798469 Lots of very interesting stuff in here!
  11. I think Chris is quite clear that he's referring to albums (full length LPs) and that they'll probably still make some music alongside the forever touring. Seems like a sweet deal to me. I like the idea of a complete body of work. Plus the idea of them revisiting unreleased stuff is exciting.
  12. New song? Possibly the title track? https://vm.tiktok.com/ZGd1djwBR/
  13. The title 'Every Teardrop is a Waterfall' is cheesy. That was 13 years ago. What are we doing in 2024 pretending that it isn't a fundamental part of Coldplay's DNA?
  14. None of which has anything at all to do with the comment I was replying to. I think the specific lyric quoted quite clearly has a meaning, despite the bizarre claim to the contrary. It's a bandwagon.
  15. No meaning? I think the meaning is crystal clear. I find that an utterly bizarre critique. At this point people want to complain about the lyrics so they do complain about the lyrics.
  16. Cinema event across the world playing the album in full on October 2nd (plus some extras, it seems it's 60 mins long) - so plenty will have heard the album in full before October 4th.
  17. The game is out today for those who pre-ordered the Ultimate Edition and the song is on there. So they might as well just officially release it now...
  18. Sounds fantastic. The audio quality isn't doing justice to the sound either - especially when you compare it to the official snippet.
  19. No chance of that. If any of those became a hit, they wouldn't want to be releasing *another* single only 4 weeks later.
  20. As others have pointed out, they seem to deliberately position the 2nd single as the potential big hitter, rather than the lead single. So Good Feelings next makes sense...
  21. IMO Good Feelings should be the 2nd single and land somewhere between late July and early September. It's a clear summer hit and should really land at that time of the year. If We Pray has the potential to be a hit itself, then there's no harm in it being the 3rd single and getting a push further down the road.
  22. The boys were on top form tonight. We Pray is very different and very good. Arabesque got the outing it deserves. FLIFL is a good closer.
  23. Lovers in Japan (Osaka Sun Mix) vs Up With the Birds
  24. A few that I'd absolutely love to hear on Sat...We Pray (or any new song), Arabesque, and ETIAW.
  25. I'm completely out of the loop on leaks etc, so excuse me if this has been answered a billion times already, but do we know what kind of song Jupiter is going to be?
