I think it would be great if Journal For Plague Lovers got nominated for the Mercury Prize. The Holy Bible was also nominated when it came out but didn't win it sadly.

1 - Journal For Plague Lovers - Manic Street Preachers 2 - Kingdom Of Rust - Doves To be honest I haven't really bought many new albums at all this year. There's a couple that I want to get but haven't got round to it. Nothing comes close to Journal for me at the moment though!

The Manics opened the new library in Cardiff yesterday and there was even a Welsh Male Voice choir there who sang A Design For Life! How cool is that? The library has a lovely plaque saying it was opened by the Manic Street Preachers. Beat that Oasis!

Manics are saying the new album will have a 'happier' feel to it. Looking forward to it! Can't wait! New book also out looking into the mystery of Richey's disappearance as well.

Brilliant last night at Wolverhampton! Despite Nicky not being able to do his usual moves James more than made up for it. Both sets were absolutely rocking and the best gig I have seen by them so far.
