  1. No, The Holy Bible DEFINITELY isn't for the faint hearted. But if you feel you can brave it then go for it!
  2. Journal For Plague Lovers - Manic Street Preachers Been on repeat since I bought it!
  3. This Is My Truth Tell Me Yours, The Holy Bible, Journal For Plague Lovers, Everything Must Go, Generation Terrorists and Lifeblood to start you off. Phew! Then when you can afford it get everything else!
  4. Just over a week now til I go to see them in Wolverhampton! Woohoo!
  5. Loads of Manic Street Preachers songs Summer Wind - Frank Sinatra Sweet Miracle - Rush And loads of other stuff that I can't think of at the moment!
  6. I love Rush! I think they are amazing! Probably my third or fourth fave band ever!
  7. Got both versions of the album today! Marlon JD is probably my fave on the album. Can't wait to mosh to it at Wolverhampton. This could be even shades better that The Holy Bible which is a mighty achievement! The demos are fantastic too and really show off James' amazing vocals. If you haven't got it, buy it!
  8. The birthmark of the girl in the painting 'looks like blood' apparently. But it's ok for Britney to be almost starkers on her album/single covers. The Ch 4 programme last night was great. James nearly blew the roof of with his vocals and they read some of the song lyrics out in the fashion of a poetry reading which was interesting. A shame Sean is too busy at the moment with new baby to be involved in the promo!
  9. JFPL got a 9/10 review from Teletexts Planet Sound. Supermarkets are having the album cover censored because it is apparently 'inappropriate'. Eh? Interview with Nicky up on Planet Sound today talking about Richey.
  10. Runrig - Circa 94/95 and in 2007 Manic Street Preachers - Nottingham Arena (Dec 2002), Wolverhampton Civic (May 2007), Birmingham NIA (Dec 2007) - upcoming Wolverhampton Civic 1st June 2009. James Dean Bradfield - Stoke Sugarmill (Oct 23 2006) Levellers - Circa '04/'05
  11. Gonna get mine from HMV I think! Nice piece by John Niven about the album on the official site.
  12. Wanna preorder my copy as well! Link up on official site to be able to do this.
  13. Got my ticket! Wayhey! Trying to avoid hearing anymore of the songs now until I buy the album as I think hearing them in isolation spoils the effect a bit. Anyone else on here going to the gigs in May/June?
  14. Booked my ticket for Wolves! Just relistened to Peeled Apples from Zane Lowes show and it is totally awesome!
  15. A small tour has been announced as well! Wolverhampton Civic on the 1st of June is one of the dates! Woohoo! Rest of the venues and dates are up on http://www.manics.co.uk. Absolutely love the albums artwork and the songtitles!
  16. The new album will be awesome. Yes, StephenG, what can we do? Keep on rocking, that is what! :)
  17. Not long been on Last FM but top of my list is my favourite band, the Manic Street Preachers. Was well chuffed as finally got to hear their cover of The Instrumental by June Brides and also a Japanese Import only song Antartic. Been listening to Rush on there as well but haven't been on long enough to have had loads of listens yet! Really good website though!
  18. Manics are playing T In The Park, headlining alongside Glasvegas on the King Tut Stage. They must have decided to lift that ban on them then for Nicky swearing the last time they headlined!
  19. Journal For Plague Lovers (not the confirmed title yet!) - Manic Street Preachers
  20. News now up on the official site. Release date for new album around May, hopefully won't have to wait too long for a proper date. Also, have a great day today Mr James Dean Bradfield now that you are the sexiest 40 year old on the planet! :D
  21. I like 'em! Especially Geraldine which is class! Been a bit overly hyped by NME but don't they do that with everyone?
  22. Fleet Foxes album. Very nice!
  23. I bought the deluxe reissues that the Manics put out cos there were plenty of extra tracks and the interview footage as well. Depends how much interest you have in the band I suppose. If you're just getting into a band and there are deluxe versions of albums out get those!
  24. Circa '94/''95 - Runrig at Wolverhampton Civic 2002 - Manic Street Preachers at Nottingham Arena Circa '04/'05 - Levellers 2006 - James Dean Bradfield at Stoke Sugarmill 2007 - Idlewild at Wolverhampton Wulfrun, Manic Street Preachers at Wolverhampton Civic (May), Manic Street Preachers at Birmingham NIA ( December). Runrig in Nottingham. 2008 - Athlete at Wolverhampton Wulfrun - (Worst gig of my entire life, Boy Kill Boy were great in support though, phew!)
  25. Bagpipe music reminds me of the wonderful, beautiful city that is Edinburgh and just Scotland in general!
